  1. So everyday one of the biggest complaints you get is about someone leeching someone elses cube, mostly from you're own company of course. Why dont we just go ahead and make it were whoever gets first lock get the rewards and if in a outfit of course there shared like any other npc. This will cut down on same company conflicts and negative honor from having to pop ppl who on purpose go clanless to be able to leech.

Cubes are meant to be shared, if they weren't then "leeching" wouldn't even exist.

Some time ago you wouldn't just want to say this, because 10 drones, havocs/hercs and lf4's weren't existing so it was a real challenge to kill a cube alone.. now cubes need to be way stronger and give better rewards to keep their "shared effect"..

Your idea is bad. I don't have to try and make it look it.

Cubes were designed to be shared, hence why they share out the rewards. If they were designed to be a solo NPC then they would not give out shared rewards.
You do not control cubes and you do not get to say who is and who isn't allowed to shoot them.

  6. oh i completley understand okapi were you coming from. but do you think its fair for you to solo a cube just to have someone come shoot it a few times at the end just to get some easy uri when you did all the work

And with ubers ? what's the problem with them ? I was finishing killing a uberklon and a flaxed guy came in my "help"(like I was needing it -.-), and for that he has to receive some of my reward from that uber ? Since when ubers are shared npcs ?

I have done over 10,000 cubes, I would say around 95% were solo, if someone comes along and shoots it then they are entitled to do that.
The NPC does not belong to me, it is not called -=[Okapi32's Cubikon]=-, it is a shared NPC that anyone can join in and do.

It's obvious you play on a dead server. On the big server nobody claims the cubes belong to them becuase there is always a group of 10+ ships going round killing them. These players are not leeching, they are doing a cube which they are perfectly entitled to do.

Uber NPC have been shared since the day they were created.

  9. But my reasoning for the initial statement was not focused just on leechers. Its more about keeping players who are clanless that leech just to irritate you, just because they know you cant war a clanless player and that you will take negative honor for popping them if they can come in at the last second and steal some of the reward away from you.

There is nothing you can do to stop that, they are perfectly allowed to do it.
On GB2 we used to have a 4 flax turk player who would stay clanless, watch the cube die and then shoot it and run off, he did this to everyone in VRU for about 5 or 6 months.

He did it because he liked the attention people gave him in chat for it, he knew it annoyed people so he did it as much as he could. He's allowed to do that. It is you who is saying that he isn't, the NPC is designed so that people can do that.
Being annoying is not against the rules.

You can't just change an NPC because you don't like the way people use it.

  11. Well how about this okapi, how about darkorbit just gives a way to be able to war a clanless player from the same company, wich in most all cases is a player that drops out of a warred clan to avoid being popped. That way no matter what you're take on the leeching aspect of it, at least you can do something about it if that's happens to be how you feel about it

Sorry for off topic, but Okapi, can u tell us something about that "So Ping Me Maybe" achievement if u know ? I finished all the other ones but I can't figure out what to do for this one.. I'm sure it's something easy.

  13. The game is outdated as are cubikons. They were made to be impossible to kill solo.

Same with galaxy gates, they were supposed to be a lot harder then they are now.

  14. Yep bad idea. Clans break up because they lose war, if the clan breaks up the war is over no need to war single people. If you could war single people then people would be pushed off in the game. It would just open up a new brand of pushing. For example. Hey psst GunStar, I'll war you pop your pet a bunch of times get 20k ep each time because thats how pets work, ep doesnt go down for them, and in return ill let you pop my peta couple of times. Its a terrible idea. Companies are there for the reason of helping each other and why its not a free for all game. Clan war each other, not people.

[-КАТЮША-] said it, cubes are outdated. the least that could be done is make the prots randomly attack everyone that attacks the cube, or something similar.

Yet we would get so many wars from your clan if someone happened to look at the cubes your clan was shooting lol. To be fair I do agree that something should be done about clanless players that are going out of their way to try and cause problems, especially when they switch from another company and still work with their old company. - For example dropping ddms all over you on a cbs just before their enemy buddies come to attack.

Something seems fundamentally wrong about how you can send a war to an entire clan for the actions of 1 player but that player can leave the clan and continue to cause bother without any mechanism to deal with it short of getting the other company players to try and help deal with it.

A tactic being used now...shoot all the cubes until the prots come out. Then wait at the port, while some sucker comes around and wastes his ammo on what he thinks is a solo cube. Only to give rewards to a player sitting on port. Shared rewards are being manipulated but they are fair??? Not really, the players are saying! Might be time to listen to them...just saying.

  18. Cubes are the only NPC that is a shared npc, simply due to the nature of hp and damage. like many before said, if it wasnt meant to be shared, then only the primary shooter would get cred. Doing this would also allow UFE's to own those maps especially since now they need not worry about someone taking ep cred uri and honor from them and the cube. The problem is that too many people depend on cubes for uri and creds and ep and honor. Thats what makes it the primary target for FE and UFE and non fe players. I think it should remain as long as it does, perhaps decreasing the time for respawn will allow for players to get cubes quicker from the UFE

i think since new things were released, cube should be locked NPCs like other NPCs- bks, lordakiums or struners and so... and they should do something like super cubikon not able to be soloed and that thing should have shared reward... Because its ridiculous to want from ufe to go on kristallons for 100uri lol.(new things = 9-10 drone, lf4s, upgrades, drone designs and so...)

  20. Alright i can agree with that it makes good sense. so i guess will just keep doing what we always do, call in someone from another company and let them pop those ppl who are just being more of a pest than being helpful lol
