Ice rockets doesn't always hit?

I have been hunting recently and i barely started using my ice rockets that they gave out a while ago, I have been noticing that when i use it my enemies dont freeze some times is this due to inaccuracy? If so then explain why target precision doesnt even make it hit 100%

 

Yea, sometimes they really do miss, they don't work on golden vengies that use ability, and citadel can escape to an ice rocket by using Travel ability I think.

 

Yup, they do miss. With Precision targeter, I think they hit 100%.

 

It's pretty sneaky the prescription of the tech says "... increases the hit ratio of normal rockets by 100% ... ", freeze rockets, PLD etc do not count as normal rockets.

 

It may be this too, I am not 100% sure

 

:l they invented space ships that could repair itself, go invisible and withstand whatever forces in the universe but they still have rocket that misses? im sure a few hundreds years from now there will be rockets that hit whatever the crap you want.

 

i hate those rockets im glad they miss sometimes lol

Ice Rockets are like all the other rockets, they don't always hit. If you are running a Precision Targeter, as well with the bio, should have a better chance of rockets hitting more accurately.

if they are the same as other rockets then why did they miss when i have precision targeter on? isn't it suppose to make it hit at a 100% ratio?

 

mr Spearhead, I have heard that even the precision targeter sometimes misses, I cant verify this myself as I'm usually too busy dancing about during PvP to notice misses ;P

I wasn't here for the great ice rocket giveaway or whatever it was, and it was a nasty surprise the first time I got hit with one lol. There's me spending out on decel rockets and then i learn there's millions of these things floating about...

They're not the same, precision targeter only gives R-310, PLT-2026, PLT-2021 and PLT-3030 the 100% hit ratio. All other rockets are considered special rockets and so still have a chance to miss.

 

but.. shifterai just mentioned that they should act similar because they are all the same class of rockets.

 

Unfortunately they were wrong, easy enough mistake to make since most people do assume it effects all rockets, however the description does say that only normal rockets are effect, those are the 4 I listed above. Any form of hellstorm, ice rockets, PLDs, DCR and so on are not effected by the tech.

 

On a similar note, what methods can you use to block or negate Ice Rockets? The only one I know of is an EMP-01 Burst, however now that I've read that they don't always hit, does it mean that you could block them with an Insta-shield?
