enough with the login ads already

Seriously, 1 HOUR AND 6 MINUTES????
Yeah, thats worth 100 uri and I really want to generate leads.

If nothing we ask can get fixed could you at least have the decency to limit them to 5 minutes or less?

When do I get to play if my machine is taken up waiting for the ad to clear. (some seem to hang in even though I am clicking the heck out of 'skip')

No by the time these ads are done I have no time to play. Other things to do than watch 22 minute to 1 hour videos.

I lost premium this weekend and *really* no wonder I dont see ships in the maps.

 

lol, Bigpoint dosen't care. Darkorbit gave up on the US and is draining anything it can get. Never in any game have i ever seen anything as brazen as this. They literally choose making pennies (if even that much) for logging in over having a inch of respect of players.

 

I click "Dont show anymore ads" or w/e and all but my main account still get ads.

 

Watching a stupid BMW ad get you no Free Energy every time and I can't get 10 Free Energy because there is no ads at moment crap! Stupid Bigpoint!

 

This was something that was supposed to had been handled months ago. That hour ad? Oh yeah, I see it on 4 out of 6 servers I play on. Just makes you want to turn the computer back off. I remember one time I caught a 4 hour ad at login, on a German server that was in English. I agree, anything over 5 minutes is over kill, and personally anything over a minute on a game server about anything but the game is rubbish. There are a lot of kids that play this game and an hour ad about generating leads or administrative support level software is counter productive. I want to log in one minute and take care of my daily transfers so I can get to work, or make that last minute auction, or blame me for this, but might just want to get some missions completed in the game. I have friends in the game I want to interact with. I don't need a course on generating leads for that.

In the past, we have been told that the ads come from third party vendors. Well I said it before and I will say it again, DO and BP, has a marketing department. Every major company does, and it is their job to scrutinize these ads that they put out to the public. It does not matter that they bought a batch of ads from some discount seller. The ads represent DO and BP ideas, and they are responsible for those ideas. In the end the company board and executives are responsible for them because if they do not do what they were meant to do, profits go down, and who wants that.

I am honestly surprised that there is not a mod entry in here already but at the same time, they are not part of the marketing scheme, or are they? What they do or don't do is just as much part of the gaming push, no matter what the subject is. Man I have been in business for too long. Anyways, mods, we realize there is not a direct question about game play here but when will the erroneous ads going to come to a halt.

 

There is a little thing in the lower right allowing you to skip the ad..... Or you can run an ad blocker program on the browser.

That hour and some ad for generating leads is just ridiculous. Talk about mismatched ads to the marketplace.

The ad revenue keeps Dark Orbit alive while business on some servers dwindles. Love DO or hate it, but ads help keep the lights on.

 

Of course that ADS doesn't keep DO alive. It's a huge company, no ADS can keep this game alive. It's the players who keep it.
