people requesting a desktop launcher(look here)

    For the people that would like to see a desktop launcher for the game, here is my solution I use
    1. Right click on an empty space on your desktop
    2. Select "new shortcut" from the drop-down menu
    3. Type location as "http://www.darkorbit.com" without quotes. ("www" can be replaced with any prefix) ie. I use uk1.darkorbit.com for gb1 server. hit "next"
    4. Name your shortcut and click finish.

    You now have your very own desktop launcher for your game. Enjoy!

    And you can even do it with your ship page, by copying that link and putting it in a shortcut.. that would put you on the orbit instantly :D

    good shout, but be wary of where you are leaving your ship , logging straight in to map can be hazardous if you aint got any rocks on yet :)

    This kind of "Launcher" is in plain english just a simple link for opening the login page on your default browser, without having to enter in and manually click / enter a URL

    Or you can just set gb1.darkorbit.com (or your server URL) as your browser start up page :p.
