Is Parasite Tide The Lousiest Event Ever?

Ever since this event started, threat level has increase in home map, rival companies players stealing boxes and killing newbies in home map, players cheating in X-1 by killing the same player all over again, selfish player not letting other players of the same company to kill their Gygerthrall and the ridiculously expensive event items. Great job Darkorbit... You did great!

This post is sure going to be move from General Issues to Speaker Corner by some moderator who think this not a issues. Like there is an issues in Darkorbit right, ha ha ha!

 

Type-0Z You know, cheating players, selfish players, etc...I don't think it's a problem of BP. They cannot change the player's mentality.

Btw. threat level increase and rival companie's players all over the other maps, stealing (actually, the boxes are supposed to be picked...) and shooting the other players - wasn't this game formerly meant to be so?

 

If the game was formely thought so Colonels can shoot over and over again level 5 players, than I think I should have quit long time ago. I understand it is a PvP game, but you can't let level 21 players shoot level 5 players, or I am wrong?

 

I wouldn't say, that the game was thought so. The problem are people playing it and not BP...

 

It isn't the worst event because of the rewards for missions which are good .. ( if you receive the newsletter .. very good .. free uri ) .

 

As if the UFE killing newbies was not enough of a problem, they make new mission to further encourage us to PvP?!

 

Lets see : The mother ship MIGHT make things better, but thats a long shot. I voted worst event ever for these reasons:

1. MOST expensive ammo EVER in the game......and NONE of it in the special boxes...FAIL

2. Once again Special boxes not on Bmaps...FAIL

3. No clear information on how the mothership will come out....FAIL

4. 1/3 of "special" boxes give you "nothing" but an infection.....thus making any boxing 1/3 LESS profitable than ANY other event box EVER.....HUGE FAIL.

5. To top that, there is a glitch going on where 1 in 5 boxes just dissappears when you try to pick it up...so now REGULAR boxes are glitching because of this event....Thanks DO I can't even do regular boxing now, you messed that up...FAIL

5. The Gyrothyms or whatever are out, and pay 16 uri a piece, basically a tough, under paying LK...FAIL

6. The lower speed the New ammo produces creates ANOTHER way for players to escape...add it to the pile of slow mines and ice rockets I have....NO MORE items that effect speed.....FAIL

 

Type-0Z nowadays, there are many ''problems'', but UFEs killing newbies isn't one of them. I remember times (some years ago), when I was happy to fly from x-1 to x-3 without getting killed. Flying over 4-x to 4-4? Sometimes nearly impossible. Flying on x-4? Often only in radiation zone.
Now I can fly over all the old maps and don't meet nobody. I really like this event even more because there are much more players everywhere. Today I died at least 30x. And what? Should I cry, that the game is unfair just because I got killed by colonels, etc.?

Ρļ€*İŋ*Ŧħ€*§ķ¥ 1. Well, I agree that the ammo is too expensive. If it was 5-10U, it would be much better.
2. Personally, I don't think this boxes should be on Bmaps. You have to decide if you want to collect UBRs and SL-MO, etc. or keep collecting the normal boxes.
3. Yes, thats ''fail''.
4. Good idea! Definitely not fail.
5. 'Gygerthralls' - not agressive, so if you don't want to shoot them, just don't...they're good only for getting this event points
6. I really hate this, but still - good chance for not so good players to escape.

 

^ you made some good points, I have to dissagree with the "infected box" issue, as that is the biggest "trick" if you ask me. 1/3 of a limited event box....now gives nothing...that is a dirty trick...

 

This is a BP profit event once again:

Use Uridium ammo and mines to effect players, use Uridium CPU to cure players.

Event runs 8th to the 25th, this meaning 3 Mega Happy Hours of which players will spend to get these items to increase their chances to win the event or do well.

Bonus boxes are once again, reduced in a fashion of not getting a single thing for 1/3 of boxes, thus then encouraging players to spend to open those gates they have been working to get.

So yeah, spend spend spend spend spend spend ripoff ripoff ripoff ripoff, sod the free players, concentrate on paying players.

Hence why I'm not bothering with this event.

 

really the only things i like are the new missions and the boxes, being infected helps sometimes when you want extra damage, other then that, nothing else is good, but the new design will be good and we have yet to see 1 of the big boss aliens which will probably be good since there like demaners

 

Maybe not the worst but it's up there.To whoever is in charge we want events similar to old events. Y'all just don't get it. You know what just forget about it Crash and Burn.

 

This event is geared for candy to the UFEs who spend money..... to lure the lesser players into the map for them to shoot at. If you can't see that, you missed something.

Interesting concept for an event but unfortunately the disparity and imbalance between the money players and the rest of us just makes it shooting fish in a bucket.

A noob-bashing event is hardly a way to grow the game.

 

The event is Ok for me as a casual player. I get infected 10% increase in damage and then i hunt ncps = lesss ammo and sep
as for the missions i've been able to do only 2 dang it they pay good I wish there were more

There is a lot of EIC cowards and UFE bullies cheating in GA3 server, they will always come to 3-X in large numbers and the UFE always go 3-1, stay there and keep killing the same player who attack them first with no health while the newbies can't do anything about it. I reported a cheater and they said they have located both player and dealt with this behavior nonsense. That cheater is now in second place in infected category!

Edited: The ranking show the cheater, but the player does not exist any more.

 

I don't understand why are you all crying about the event boxes?! usually in every event they are out for just a few hours a day and then can disapear for many days! this time they are out through the WHOLE EVENT which is nice. Also there are uber rockets in these! and they give more slow mines and sar-02 rockets than usual. Sometimes i even get 8 slow mines and 40 sars. That's without doubler.
