  1. Since there is NOTHING about the Insta-Shields that these have, can anyone give me a suggestion on HOW a person is to cause any damage to these things? The ones showing up in the PvP maps do not have Insta-Shields until it is almost DEAD but then there is no decrease in its damage and a solo player has to give up the fight to prevent from being destroyed.

As there is NO information of the Insta-Shields in the FAQ how is a player supposed to know about the Insta-Shields.

  2. To Kill the BAttleray, you have to kill the majority of the interceptors first. When there are only 3 or 4, the shield goes down. Beware that if another interceptor spawns, the shield goes back up until the count is down again. Only one player can shoot the battleray or the shields will come up fast.

  3. So this is a GROUP activity, and from what I saw in there today people are not playing in the Pirate Maps anymore. Playing in all three to do 4 Missions and saw 1 other player, who was able to kill me while in the 5-2 DMZ (base) without firing a single shot and I could not fire back at him, have never seen this before, I can usually attack someone who is attacking me but not this time.

  4. Let me take a guess. You got Venomed?

  5. I still have I think 5 missions to do that involve Battleray, on top of another 15 other npc quests, to clear out all the NPC quests totally available. They are spread out and you are right, most people will go to pirates just to clear the quest and then they are out of there. I like it as I can generate uri in peace. They put more of the Battleray in 5-3 in order to allow more players to get a crack at them where before strong groups would push weaker players away from them. When doing it alone, just don't bother with the Battleray until you have taken care of the interceptors. Tag one and fly away, or far around the Battleray so you don't take damage from it while killing the little pest. Then just cut loose with the best ammo you have.

  6. YES I did what exactly is the effect he was using?

My first encounter with one was actually a Deadly Battleray and i got it to almost dead and then it set its Insta-Shield and let me have it. But then again I was trying to solo it, as I can a Cube and found it impossible.

  7. As I have been able to destroy these with the information given this thread can be closed but would still like to see the update to the FAQs pages giving the information of this thread to others that want to know about these NPC's and the way to destroy them.

  8. quit complaining, you kill the interceptors around it, once it has 3 left the shields go down. If more spawn shields go up. If more then 2 people (pet included) shoots it, it rages, uses rsbs, repairs, and spawns in about 10 more interceptors. It is NOT hard to kill, i have solo'd them in spearheads. Most people use their heads and ask in chat about it, before raging in forums about it.

  9. Surprised it was still open after 20 days of inactivity. Mods are slipping.

  10. I have done virtually all battlerays solo. I shoot the interceptors until there are 1 or 2 left. Then sab the battleray until it has no shields left & then finish it off. Even if the interceptors do respawn, it doesn't affect the battleray.
