[TI] P.E.T is blind - Auto Looter

In the last couple of days I am noticing something strange happening over and over again. It has happened before to me, but it was so rare. Let's look into this image:



Let's image on the red square area I have 2-3 boxes. Sometimes, if I don't cross over that area with my P.E.T, it won't see the boxes and won't collect them. That is really annoying, cause when I get back to that area I can collect them (that is the moment when my P.E.T sees them and starts collecting with me too).

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but what I am usually doing is this: if I notice an area of boxes, mostly likely I will fly next to it and continue, so that my P.E.T can collect them. But lately, I am annoyed cause I have to fly back just because my P.E.T is blind.

hapend to me this morning too,4 boxes are around me and PET just stay still, btw im from global 7 also.

 

Thank you for the feedback. It is not just today, previous days same problem. I am paying attention on the behavior of the P.E.T, it is still happening.

Its happening to me in US West. Takes it forever to start picking up pally that is right next to me.

 

I am not sure about pally, as I have not been to pally lately, but I feel like the radars we equip are of no use at all. It's just we have the gear, without the radars expansion of view..

 

I know that many players rely on their PET to help them collect URI / Ammo / Gate spins to enjoy the game. Might toss something out there for you to think about.

My personal PET is Level 15 - I have opened all the slots, and I have 2 (level 3) Radar Protocols on my PET the rest are Salvage. I started with 8 (level 2) Salvage and I went about my business shooting NPC's while my PET was on Auto looter. I stopped obsessing over what my PET was doing and did my own thing... My PET made more than I thought he would. So I upgraded one of those Salvage Protocols to level 3. He flies about his business and so do I and he moves further and faster on my speed side. So I generally ignore him and he makes a lot more. Just something to think about.

Thank you for the reply Astraea, and for the advice too I have notified the support about this, they are trying to recreate my scenario and see if it is really a bug.

I haven't tried what you wrote above, but I may consider doing it although I don't have any salvage protocols cause I don't have box doubler or pilot tree for boxing. Can you please tell me if you had any of this while doing so?

Apologies for the delay in getting a final response to this thread however i have done some digging. It does appear that the Quality Assurance department did investigate the P.E.T. Auto Looter however unfortunately it appears that they were unable to detect any problems with the P.E.T., however they did state that they would continue observing this one in the future.

As they are the "highest step" when it comes to investigating bugs and issues, unfortunately there is not much more we can do than what we have already done.

To allow for archiving, i shall close the thread, but please do not hesitate to create a new thread for any future issues or problems.
