[UI] Thunderbolt design ''Thor''

    Got an idea based on the rarely used ''chain impulse tech'' from the tech-center. I wanted to create a design were it was used as I like the idea, and I think it is a tactical design, which can be used in multiple situations. People on Dutch fora liked it and want to know what you guys think :)

    Thor:

    Possible description:

    Leave behind a enormous chaos with this deadly looking design. Strike with the speed of light and cause enormous damage to multiple targets in a matter of seconds!


    Specifications:

    Type design: Skill design
    Passive bonus: 5% DMG
    Available for: Goliath, maybey citadel (like the thor idea for him)

    Effect: 100K shield dmg to the target you've locked and a maximum of 5 enemy surrounding targets (wars included)

    Duration: EDIT: instantly

    Cooldown: 20 minutes

    Graphics design: black ship with lightning strikes on it
    Graphics effect: lightning (duhh)

    I was also thinking about some kind of shield absorber thing but I don't have any real ideas.

  2. Wow, 100k shield damage just by starting the ability isn't much?? Also 5 targets around? You need to nerf that for sure. :) Or maybe it doesn't need nerfs, only if you make the ability last longer, like couple of seconds. Immediate 100k damage is much, according to me.

    Second thing, I can easily counter this skill. If it has 3 seconds channeling till dealing damage, I will just use insta-shield and you won't do any damage on me. You need to look further into this.

    Also, consider adding the Aegis ship too, cause it is supposed to be support ship, and I see this skill design more as a support, rather than offense. :)

    I hope I gave some feedback, I will keep on looking into this and if you add some changes let me know so I can check. :)

    I rather not have it on aegis. I think the aegis is strong enough already and such a skill would make it to OP. A skill like this one sounds as a massive attack dealt by a hit ship (goliath) or citadel (zeus / thor idea and citadel isn't that good anyway).

    Secondly, I want to make a small edit here: it will hit directly

    Further more: have you ever considerd how much extra damage a diminsher does with its skill? Of course there is EMP and ISH but that works for both and the moments that it is hitting, it will do it insanely hard. Lets say 150K combo and about 10K to hp (which isn't affected) That would mean 150K +50% dmg boost on shield gives you total EXTRA DMG DEALT DUE TO THE SKILL: 75K. Now lets say the user can make 3 sucessfull hits with the enemy firing ish and EMP, that would still add up to 225K DMG, though dealt seperatlely, that is much more than the 100K dealt in one time, while cooldowns and the rest are all the same.

    Last but not least, I thought about making it go threw ish, because if you use ISH with against diminsher, it will eventually still do siko DMG.

  4. I have absolutely considered the Deminisher damage. What I was trying to say is that the immediate damage after activating the skill is too much. In addition to this, if the damage is dealt over time it would be better. Deminisher does a lot of damage, but no instantly. Venom does a lot of damage, but not instantly. Instant damage is too high in your idea, plus affecting 5 targets, it's a lot. :)
     
  5. 100k damage I dont really think its a lot seeing as how I can pretty much run 700k-1mill shields easily.
     
  6. Yes, but not everyone has that much. For a standard fe that's 1/3 of shields gone. Way it is it makes noobs more susceptible, but if we have it subtract a percentage it makes ufe susceptible

    That shouldn't really matter, people can hit way over 300K with diminsher, of course not everybody has that much but that is (sadly) what this game is all about: taking out weaker people. I can understand that you might see this as another ability which will make the stronger people even stronger but think of it this way:

    1. the ability has a 20 minute cooldown, so people will have to be carefull and absolutely sure when using it.

    2. even with low hits, you could still cause some nice dmg against stronger players, so it isn't that bad after all for weaker players.

    100K dmg is nothing, as I stated before, if i'm shooting you with 200K and i activate the dimisher ability, I can do an approximately 100K extra dmg on your shield, and not just one time but multiple times, depending on how the fight goes.
