I'm UFE, so new folks take note here your not alone at being cannon fodder. Got killed 6 times this morning in under an hour, 3 times by the same Pussant. Couldn't get a lock on him during anyone of the 3 encounters.

I realize I can't fight and now with the Pussant coming out can't really run either, I personally just quite attempting to be part of the PVP, part of this game, it's a total joke, not wasting any more ammo on a lost cause.
It's kind of sad that there is no real place for a NPC shooter in this game. Because that is what I like to do.
A couple weeks ago I was a chief major.
"You need approx. 1,253,648 rank points to reach the next rank of [IMG] Chief Major." ***
I usually am on line shooting NPC'S daily for about 2 hours, between being shot my self by the ego dancing tough guys.
I guess the reason I can't hold rank, is that I've now been killed 532 times? So rank is now meaningless, as far as I'm concerned.
    Too many negative points?

  2. I feel your pain...

You need approx. 535,913 rank points to reach the next rank of [IMG]Basic Major.

This has not really moved in over 6 months. I am not ufe, as I have no LF4, Havok, or Hercs. However I do spend around 2 to 4 hours daily on the npcs. One thing I have learned is to get a weather report for the maps. When it is stormy, I start thinking about one of my other server accounts. Players are overly concerned with rank. On some servers, players are barely lieutenants and loaded for bear so its hard to tell who you have to be on the look out for. If you are just doing the NPC quest, I would be happy just getting them done. You will stay happier if you are getting them done and not bogged down by the rank badge. o_O

I've defiantly given up on the rank badge, just doing NPC quests, in between getting wacked.
I always thought how interesting the game could be if all forms of weapons worked on everything. It would be great setting up mine traps for Boss NPC's they wouldn't try avoidance measures, then mines would actually be of real value, instead of just space junk left lying around to be avoided.
Smart bombs against NPC a real use for the ever increasing supply of Xenomit.
The game could be interesting and fun for everyone if a few things changed, because I really don't care how many times I get killed, it's just an annoyance.
I'm on premium so it costs nothing to level up drones, and that's all you really loose, except for a little cargo.
Something you have to work around if you want to wack NPC's.
    Thanks for the reply Bro.

  4. Charbru I feel your frustration with the way the game is setup. Although it is a PvP game, the maps are devoid of ample players and popping someone less evolved is not satisfying anymore.

I have 15k kills and still consider myself a student of the pvp aspect of the game. I enjoyed hunting in the past, and scoremageddon is actually my favorite event (now gone forever), times are changing... I have resorted to cube bashing & boxing instead.. as I find it a more relaxing past time.

DO developers should look to evolve the game for all players who are still here. Not everyone likes the PvP aspect...

As for rank... whats the point
No added bonus or reward for it - the wallet warriors can chase rank all day as far as I'm concerned
