[TI] Spearhead ultimate cloack...

I used
emp-01 than
the ultimate cloak and enemy was still chasing me ...

he knew where i was going.... and to make sure he knew where i was going i changed path he still kept following me what the hell is this??? i though i am invisible when i use ultimate cloak funny thing is that even though i was full speed and 1.5million shield he still was behind me...

you tell me whats up ///// cause the only way i can explain this is that he is cheating...

what other explanation there may be i don't know so please tell me... is that possible?? this spearhead is out of date.... one more time this happens and i stop playing with that crappy ship

 

If your P.E.T. is on Guard Mode and attacks someone, you will be uncloaked. You'll also be uncloaked, if:

• You pick up a Cargo Box.
• You are hit by an EMP-01 or an EMP mine.
• You are hit by another Spearhead's JAM-X.

There are probably more ways you can be uncloaked, but these are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

 

I have been noticing this as well, on top of goli's catching my spear without dcr or ice rockets.

 

Were they using the surgeon with wheel? That could allow them to be just under your speed, with 621

 

it was a goli chasing me.... on top of that i already was cloaked yet he was chasing me and was just behind me even though i was full speed and fully cloaked in mini map also... i think spearhead is outdated or glitched or even broken..... cause when you use ultimate cloak you should disappear from mini map and map and be unable for someone to chase you cause they cant see where you going.... this has happened to me twice already..... i don't know how they are able to see me... maybe the cloak doesn't work...

 

Or they're using an autolocker which allows you to see cloakers

 

It does not work well. When I started seeing threads pop up about it, I started experimenting with it and your right. You emp and ultimate cloak, while the enemy does stop shooting at you, they still seem to have lock and if you fly by them, they auto rotate to always aim at you. I actually first noticed it with npc, as they would still follow me, but I see that enemy always look to be looking right at me like all they have to do is click on my spot. I think if they stayed close to you until the ultimate cloak wore off, they would automatically start shooting you at that time.

No, I have not tried it surgeon, nor anyone with wheel. Actually, it was before any of the new formations came out as I have not been in my spear since.

 

i had the ring formation that gives you 180% shield... so i had 1.5m not sure if having ring makes the skill of spearhead useless maybe is a glitch or something... that they need to fix... cause a lot of stuff don't work right for example the chip that auto puts rocks on lazers doesn't work at all...

Can i ask whether you had your P.E.T. active whilst activating the Ultimate Cloak? There is only one counter to the Ultimate Cloak and that is if another Spearhead uses the 'target marker' on you beforehand. However as stated earlier in the thread, if you do have your P.E.T. active then any player will be able to track you.

This is only a visually issue on your screen, they don't actually have lock on you and on their screen, they wouldn't appear to be rotating.

I have tried to point this out on a few occasions. Every since the client refacturing that was done that broke many things in the game it seems that when you are locked by an enemy, that has then started an attack, and use ulticloak their ship still points to your location allowing them to follow your direction. Ddraig, if it's just a visual glitch then how come enemy ships are able to hone in on your location when you should be undetectable whilst using UC?

 

I'm not going to enter a discussion as to how players are able to do it, as that is only trying to lead to a point of "...they must be cheating..." etc.

However i should add that you do need to be aware that it is very easily to deactivate the ultimate cloak by yourself without knowing, and this can be hard to tell if you were already cloaked before hand. For example if you are cloaked, use the UC then EMP, by using the EMP you have actually caused the UC to deactivate early. There are many other examples already posted in the thread too.

Seeing as there have been no further comments by the original poster, and the general comments are aiming toward the topic of cheating accusations, i am going to close the thread.
