JPA On Hold - Feedback Thread

Honest to God... if Bigpoint EVER wants to get any credibility back from long time users, and establish a stable of NEW players (you know, to keep the game alive) they better damn well start banning cheaters PERMANENTLY... JPB or just in the regular game. If you say you are gonna do it.. DO IT.

 

Well I think bigpoint should keep jpa as it was before and give money to winners. If u really think someone got caught for account trading or account sharing then u should think that no one got a perfect life logging from same computer with an Static IP that never changes and so on. I dont log always from same PC or connection because i use my school computer, my computer and sometimes i log in backpage from my mobile to see clan news or so. That doesen't mean i am sharing my account with anyone cause its always me logging. Also my connection is with Dynamic IP so it seems i use a lot of IPs to log... U going to ban me cause i cannot afford a Static IP then ?

And also i know some guys in my clan that are working with trucks and they log in game from different locations as they have to travel all around the US so practically if any of them win JPA that seems he have been sharing his account according to this. Also when u message support about account sharing they say to you they need a proof in chat.

So how come in JPA that matters and not in game?? Also i have to say the guy i reported was a big spender and he got for account sharing 1 week instead of 1 month everyone get usually. I can say it is unfair, and all based to money. And according to me Bigpoint is just causing those troubles to avoid and probably close JPA permanently so they dont have to pay players anymore. When winner was just a cheater then ban his account permanently and look who was in final or semi final and give that prize to them.

But i dont think nothing can be done cause also innocent players are going to get banned as there will be alot of mistakes by system or admins... Everyone that keep playing this game do it for a reason and even when they are on vacations they are going to play it cause they like it. But what if i win JPA right after my vacations in another country???? A perma ban for my account cause i like this game and want to play it during my free time ? I would suggest to review account sharing cases when its possible for player to go at that place during time gap between log ins as darkorbit can realise from where player logged in. If I am in Europe and you see 5 mins later a login from the USA then it is account sharing but not when i log from same country just different IPs or when i dont log for 4 or 5 hours and then i appear in another country that is practically possible to go during that period of time. I think you cannot say account sharing until there is chance that owner was traveling and went into another country for his reasons (work,vacations,school,etc.)

And to make JPA even more interesting after this long time also stagged players should have right to participate JPA. I think 2 years was a long time they cannot participate. Also players from Italy, Brazil, or US countries when law dont allow them to participate i think they should have chance to get paid with amount of uridium equivalent to amount of jackpot euros they got. So if someone from Italy win JPA he get instead 100m account (calculated during mega) or 33.3 m uri without a mega. That can make them avaliable to play JPA and why not win Uridium price also ?

To be honest I've been making the suggestion to make a JPA reward for players whom cannot participate in JPA do to laws Never occurred to me the reward should be the equivalent of of 10,000 Euro BUT not on a MHH.
So instead of 110,000,000 Uridium (MHH) the 33,000,000 actually sounds reasonable.

Now if only BP would implement such a thing

 

everybody has a opinion on what dark orbit needs to do but to be honest majority of their credibility left long ago you have top ranked people account sharing - basic colonels- generals botting on servers people abusing bugs hackers and autolockers then the main issue account sharing jpa needs to be reinstated cause thats why majority of people play to win the 10k$ and the title as for the in game rewards yea i feel bad for people who cant win the cash but at the same time it is fair cause of legality issues of states or countries- account sharing if its continuous back and forth between 2 ips know for major gameplay check into them and see as for mentioned if they are too close of a login or to far its not rocket science to figure that out secondly you allow botters,hackers,acc sharing people into the jackpot arena why not have 2 separate jpas if the account was banned and ineligible put them in a sub jpa that allows no rewards and give the honest people a shot at earning back their money/time for money cause you taking jpa out is really dumb its like with people getting banned for things bigpoint allowed ie people got banned for botting when they used kami pre cooldown dumb idea there also if you have a high rankinjg player that was caught sharing/selling, botting,cheating, etc. you should reset their entire account back to square one if they want to be legit and play they can restart and learn to do it again- also you need to get on pally botters,npc botting and watch underground forums for the obvious hacks and bots its not ahrd to search bots for any game ie your facebook uridium wars game entire game botted their accounts back-
P.S. try listening to the players and checking accounts before you go banning everything for your obvious lack of care/attention some really honest people got banned for pushing when you allowed botting- you should remove all accounts that have botting,hacking.sharing imo cause your allowing them to come back make them start from square one and when they make the new account keep them under probation thank you for listening to my rant

As a free player (apart from prem) I wouldn't even attempt to play in the JPA - my poor almost semi-UFE ship would just be cannon-fodder there, much like it is in the game itself. However it seems to me that the recent exposure of cheats in there has woken you up and I have to say its about time!

As a nocturnal person I play mostly when my server GB1 is quiet and back in 2013 before the first banwaves at 3 or 4am I seldom saw a player that was actually at his or her keyboard. I would see high ranked players perfectly circling strueners and lordakias in x-2 maps.

You dealt with it, although far too leniently IMO by removing their PP and upgrades and a staging system.
However I hope you've now had a wake up call, because guess what, they are back.

I know support will say "we have a script to catch them" but the general perception in the game is that more needs to be done, as we see them all the time and no action seems to be taken. Autolocking programs also seem to be immune to script detection as they never really went away.

As one of the minority of players who never cheated on this game I would like to see more robust action taken against players who do. Ban them PERMANENTLY, not give them back after a month or two and act against the websites selling the external programs.

My suggestion to you is to now concentrate on this instead of new updates to monetize the game. Nobody wants to spend money on a game full of cheats getting stuff for free and winning battles unfairly!

Dear BP, the solution is very simple.
In the old Jackpot some functions of the game was limited, like pilot bio and so on.

Why you guys just wont limit the ammo`s, functions that make possible for bugusing.. ?

That`s the most fair thing to do, make it simple, limit the functions of the game in JPA.

Also for those who cheat, I know you would not ban them because they $$$ I`m sure, but you can forbid the participation to JPA as a botuser.

Seeing as there are ongoing, internal talks with respect to what actions will/can/may be taken, I have a suggestion regarding the jackpot tournament pickups from bonus boxes.
For the duration of the internal discussions, any bonus box reward that would be jackpot euros, substitute them for other in-game items.
Such as: 50-100 x4 ammo, hellstorm rockets (yellow or uber), [rare finds] of lf-4, red or blue booty keys, 1000-1500 x3 ammo, etc.

 

Permanent bans for every cheater, not only for those that cheat only in JPA.. I hate the idea that I am collecting 3k palladium in like 1 and a half hour, when a botuser gets the same amount from his program without spending his life in front of the pc.. why are you tough BP only when it's about u giving the money.. be tough when is about your customers to give the many and everybody would be happy.
What I said here, is just an example of how you treat us. But why do they get to win JPA(cheaters and so on).. because u let them. Good luck in finding a solution in what you did and what us are trying to repair for long time ago.

 

Just so you know - it will be quiet from this end as we continue to look into the issue and discuss next steps.

It isn't hard for you, mods and devs, to search for the programs they are using.. then after you see how those work.. why couldn't u put scripts in the game to stop those cheaters right away.. just tell us you don't want to do that.. otherwise you would have done it like with the bots in x-2 maps..

 

Finding the programs is one thing I'm sure, although I do believe some are more well known and repeated than others (not that repeating and advertising them helps the situation any).
I don't do coding, but my understanding from so many years (following gaming and not just DO) is that those people who make the illegal programs update them regularly to try and "improve" their "service" (for lack of better terms ) and avoid detection. At the same time, the games these programs are made for have to make up for what has changed and ensure they can re-detect and/or shut them down. This isn't something that they can just shut down once and be done with unfortunately. Code and tech are ever evolving, and so the developers who work on catching & shutting them down have to evolve with them.

That's not to say they don't already detect things, or that they aren't watching for it (hence the JPA being on hold after the results of the last few months), but unfortunately some of it takes more time and process than others.

No one here is advocating unfair play, or desires to see it; but, if every accusation immediately resulted in a player being banned, I don't think there would be many people left after all the chat & posts I have read over the years. So there does have to be requirements to truly assess for those playing unfairly, which does include the sale/trading/etc of accounts as Rick cited in the announcement.

& That pretty much brings us here I think, where they're evaluating where things go from where they are now so they can improve the experience while still offering things like JPA.

Here isn`t about botting, it`s about those who use scripts in battles which is worst than everything, you cant have a fair battle ingame barely in JPA where some of us put a lot of effort going there and fighting.
And the problem is they dont use only scripts but bugs

 

The next step is to be hard on the criminals that cheat, full stop. If found using an unfair advantage over other players by using a glitch or a boughten script then permanently ban then. Or at least see if they love the game enough strip away everything they have and then they can start over.

Giving them 10k euros when you knew that they were using an unfair practice, was a slap in the face to all of us who play hard and by the rules.

What in; DO cheaters win.

You have to change your behaviour DO you gave them the money without any penalties and that is on you!

If they are doing it in JPA they are doing around the clock. IT is your game we just pay and play; keep it fair!

I wasn't talking only about the bots.. but I think there's the starting point.

 

Well I guess you yourself just called Dark Orbit Head Tech a flat out lier! How did you do this I'm guessing your thinking, Well abut to years ago the came out publicly and stated bots and gone for good. So if your stating there out there and there claiming there not and have totally been eradicated someones lying! And we all know there out there!

But more to the point of shutting them down. The job of breaking the program down isnt hard at all. All it takes is the right decompiler and about 30 sec of your time. Now making the code to to stop them might be a lil harder but simply making a code to stop script injectors would be the smartest bet! Without the injectors they cant place them into the game which would make the programs worthless. Then go back to the hidden boxes and hidden pally to catch the pixel bots. And bam done deal. Then just Perm ban cheaters for breach of TOS.

Now on to the glitches. You are responsible for this yourself. And since you are receiving moneys for the game you are legally bound to produce a bug and glitch free game. I do understand its going to happen. But the carelessness of your tech team is letting this get out of control. 1 to 2 tests on a new thing is never going to help find the hidden bugs and glitches. They take time find and understand. But releasing new things with limited testing is poor business.

So in a nut shell you are the first line of defense, And us players are the second. But you have to be willing to listen to use when we point things out. And us players have to understand that just because you got killed dont mean the other guy is cheating! Most of the time you was out gunned, and or out skilled. So take the loss with pride and move on.

It's because the big release of 3D and a reason for some players to come back ... the rewards are pretty substantial for a newsletter mail .

 

I don't get prize, i don't get a letter to my mail. Very disappointing
