[SC] Refund please!

First of all I boxed to get my spearhead, then it becomes biddable in auction, now dumb DO let us have hangerhalls for cheap? wow can I get a refund please? I paid good money for like 4-5 hangers to be better than other people, now you say people who start out new can instantly have like 8 hangers? WTH BP if you want to keep new players and get rid of your old loyal clients, then let me tell you, GJ your definitely kicking us oldies out, no wonder spending your money in this game is freaking stoopid.

If those who spent money on hanger halls get their refunds then I will kindly say thank you but for now, you suck BP!

Let the game grow. Things are going to change and prices are going to drop, they have to; because new player progression is so slow.And we need new players to fall in love with the game. I remember buying a vengi before I could use it and bought another leo until I had enough lf3s, BO2 and speed gens. Now i would just buy another hanger. It is a good first step.

 

Why is everyone so dang greedy over what amounts to 150k uri tops? Why is it when Dark Orbit puts out an update that helps all players everyone feels they need to complain? Sure, I myself would have loved to spend 1,010,000 Credits instead of 90,000 Uridium for the first two hangars, but I accepted the price when I bought them in the first place. The very first thing I said to myself when I saw the prices cheapened was not, "omg i want a refund" but "I'm gonna buy 5 more!". Its sad that people are golddigging for things that don't even cost that much in the first place.

 

Extra hangers isn't the extreme advantage that you've deluded yourself into thinking it was though the price change makes it easier for many more players to attain several extra hangers for spare ships which is good and nice. If you buy a car and it drops $2k the next day, do you go and ask for a refund?

New players face many hardships and extra hangers or new ships in the auction won't drastically change that, buying/bidding on such things will make it more difficult if they went and bought them right away instead of bidding on better items or building their skylab. Trying to keep new players and free players at a huge disadvantage because you spend money isn't very logical or just now is it. You've also managed to exaggerate how many hangers a new player could comfortably afford though they wouldn't have much use for them.

Prices and values change over time as we've seen now and it the past. Demanding refunds when this happens even though you bought the item at the time to have it and have an advantage over someone who at that time couldn't afford such things is fairly stupid to say the least. If you want to quit because the game is changed in a minimal way to make one item slightly more accessible to the cheaper/newer crowd then so be it. Unlike you, I welcome this change despite having purchased hangers in the past and being the old player I am.

I would also like to add that again not all old players are likely to have disdain for this idea and not all new players will be over joyous for it because not all old players are hardcore spenders and not all new players are free players or poor. Not all hardcore spenders would even be angry to the degree you are either. You managed to mix up old players and spenders unfortunately. There is plenty of reason not to spend money on this game, depending on your opinion, this might or might not be one of them but to me it isn't.

Many ask for changes to prices but when such things come to fruition they cry and whine about and for compensation/refunds. You accepted the fact that prices may change and likely drop over time when you first bought these hangers as well as other things, no need for any compensation or refund.

Let me reiterate that by buying hangers sooner than someone else, you had an advantage and the use of those items at an earlier date.

 

Thank you all for your feedback, though many opposing mine. I would like to say uridium is a premium content currency in this very game, and credit is something you can poop out of from skylab, 1k uri or 1 million uri who cares, its still a premium type of currency to every one of us. Even though it is too late to get a refund, I was just pointing out the fact so that it wouldn't happen again in the future, we all know one day pusat is going to be on trade for everyone (I hate pusat anyways) we all know that everything but lf4 is going to be on trade the next morning we wake up, but to be paying with uridium, and then paying with credits is a big difference for people like me. My point is, saying a car dropping value each year, having inflation/deflation in our lives, stock changing the weather tomorrow is never certain. That's life, but DO is a game, and a game shouldn't just change like that. Yes we pay so that we get an advantage by being earlier than others, but in reality DO and life is just the same, the rich and poor, the wallet warriors and the free to play, the aliens and the ugly vru, one person will get something first but both will have it by the end (except lf4) and that Im sadden about.

 

This game has been this way because DO releases new or better items to replace older ones that then lose value or they drop the price simply because the item has been out for so long. I don't think it should or will change.

 

They're something you can do without so if you didn't like the price why did you buy it?

 

i see your point, but I believe pet has been out longer than some hangerhalls, I don't see any credit things added to pet? everything we know about it is uri because simply DO makes money off pets like 20 percent of uri is spent on pet, other 80 percent is gg, lf4s and poop logdisks

 

Pet is a Uri trap for UFE's , DO may never make that cheaper aside from "small" deals on fuel, or 15% helix sales etc.....pet maxed out with (most not all) things cost MILLIONS of URI.

As to you first point, you expressed it very well, but I still have to disagree with ya. ALL buy-able items on EARTH (digital or not) do one of two things: Appreciate in value or deppreciate in value (guess what most things do), that is a fact of life. (In a post industrial semi-regulated free market economy with capitalistic moral and ideal structure, but I digress).

The "Star Trek" non-monetary model of a Utopian economy is a couple of evolution cycles away I think -_- ..but again I'm sidetracked.

Point is ...you don't just pay for the "item" outside of time.....you pay MORE to have something FIRST....and THAT is the real deal.

Don't think : "I payed X URI, and they get it for X credits"....think: "I paid X URI to have this FIRST, before the credit people", then maybe the purchase will feel worth it to you....remember perspective is EVERYTHING ! cheers.
