[UI] ship equipment?

  1. hello guys i had a idea and its called ship equipment.
    What does this idea consist of?
    the ability to modify what you ship has for equipment, hull, armor etc.
    Lets say i got a nice lookin vengeance. i can get equipment for it via talked about below.
    These gates give no uri, x4,3,2,1 ammo due to the exploit that can happen. and all equipment sells for 0 uridium, or credits.

    -Vengeance can get a hull modification Via corpus or something that modifies his health.
    -a laser reload modifier.. Modifies the speed of your laser fire or something.
    -shield projection reflection core modification. this can create a multi cellular layer over your current shield allowing the chance of a laser reflection.

    How do you obtain these items? pretty simple. by completing ether the delta or lambda gates, or by completing quests or drops from npc's.
    And by completing the 2 new gates. cygnus gate, and malin gate.

    Elite- only obtainable from (Cygnus Expert difficulty)

    Legendary- only obtainable from the (Malin gate)

    Cygnus gate
    - only able to unlock it from the level 5 quest (secrets of the hidden galaxies)
    -once quest is complete the player must obtain the gate core through blowing up the Deadly battle ray
    -then must spin the gate with (credits) till they obtain 74 parts.(5,000 credits a spin)
    -once the gate is ready to be built the player must choose easy medium or expert.
    -each one has a different activation price (because Darkorbit would be all but hurt if Uridium wasn't involved)
    -easy=2,500 Uridium to launch
    -medium=7,500 Uridium to launch
    -expert= 12,500 Uridium to launch
    -code launch (to build the malin gate)= 5,000 Uridium (only visible once Malin gate is built)

    Malin gate
    - Must complete the level 15 quest (the missing equation)
    -must have completed the Cygnus gate on expert difficulty 3 times
    -Requires all elite ship gear
    - spin for the gate (uridium) to obtain 50 parts.
    -To activate the gate it requires to have the Cygnus gate built for the missing equation the Malin gate to be resolved and launched in to space.

    I kind of understand what your idea is but no.
    There is too much complexity to your idea, a gate spun with credits where you dont get ammo and you then choose a difficulty with a uri price to obtain a ship modification?? theres already extras , ship designs and drone designs to modify your ship and its abilities I dont think we need to add even more stuff , and what you're trying to explain is way to complicated for me and the guy above as well as anyone else to understand lol. Try come up with a simpler idea
     
  5. So it sounds like you want Dark Orbit/Big Point to give away the GOD hack to the legal UFE players. Extra Hull/Shields on ships that are already able to deal with 5v1 battles and come out unscathed just means that only UFE players will even stay in the game and the NEWBS which are coming and going faster than ever before will just leave even faster now.

    Gates made with credits is a good idea (for NEWBS) and special rewards for doing them would be nice, however, giving extras like you are talking about is outrageous. I know I would love to be able to go into a PROTECTED map and gain my strength, experience, honor, and pilot bio without having to worry about being attacked by UFE players all the time. But then most of the NEWB protectors (before the addition of the NEW gates) have decided they prefer to play this way and build HADES gates and do these with their friends or are doing the other gates collecting their UFE weapons for additional HANGAR ships, the exception is when they decide they want to go hunting for enemy.

    I remember when the portals were protected from people jumping into the maps and then they added the Advanced Jump Chip and people jump in and out at their leisure and then there is no one to help/protect the NEWB ships like they used to either. The maps are looking like ghost towns compared to when I started and the lower maps have almost as many enemy as they do company NEWBS trying to gain their needed experience and equipment and the company chat is useless on getting any help when attacked.

    So your idea for the rewards is a major NO but the idea of additional CREDIT gates for FE gear would be a YES. Making UFE even stronger is a BAD IDEA without making protection for the non-UFE players (UFE players can only attack UFE players or upper maps ONLY)
