Interesting, Long as DO pumps out more ways for players to create more unique configs and looks, this game will be more attractive to a larger base of players...I play other games where all the in-game purchases are just skins for items.Not that im suggesting payment only skins but at least a decent variety of things to choose from

 

I think its little boring, that colored designs, that wont give bonuses can't be won in any way. It's ok though that it can't be bought with game currency.​

Edit: I just changed my mind because...

You made good point... it's not worth it. I would just put those designs on to hangers, that I don't use, since when I actually play I keep my shields/firepower at max.

Why would I pay anything for something, that I don't use.​

 

Demon and Bat looks Gorgeous with these wings definitelly getting any of these drones if possible

 

All good but is the first time that a halloween event in the game costs money instead uridium like the bat formation, and im not going to pay more money than i have already spent here just for a drone designs wich doesnt give anything, just going to play the new halloween event gate.

 

aw if it will cost like independce design that also does nothing i dont think i will buy any .

 

The perfect free-to-play model would be a game which has every feature unlocked from the start and players can only buy cosmetics, obviously DO isn't going to be in that position but the bigger percentage of revenue they make from cosmetic stuff and the cheaper / easier they make it to progress in equipment, the better.

These sort of payment only, purely cosmetic items are a good thing for a game. If this were the DO of a few years back they would have given all these designs powerful bonuses and we would probably have to build them with blue prints from event booty boxes.

Obviously you don't have to buy them, but it is a good thing that by not buying them, you are not losing out on anything that will effect your game play.

If you look at the colors, you probably get the color of your company. As with Spearhead, Aegis and Citadel. Except for the Silver Versions and de Demon desing. Sorry for any mistakes, not a native speaker here.

This event P.E.T Galaxy gate can be completed only once? Cause I have finished it (easy one), but it was really nice to play it and it would be cool if I can do it a couple more times

 

So, IF I understand you correctly, the Halloween Drone Designs are Cosmetic only?
The obvious question is ''Why Bother?'' Why would anyone take off their Havocs or Hercs for something that doesnt do anything?
The designs would be far more intimidating if they actually did something...instead experienced players may look at them and laugh at the waste of money.

The deamon drone designs do give a bonus. The skull,bat and reaper designs are cosmetic. However they are designed to give each player a more unique ship and therefore each palyer can create an idenity ingame.

 

If I did understood correctly from the above posts, DO may implement a "cosmetic" slot on the drone designs so you don't loose bonuses on Havoc/Herc. But, that's how I understood, so you can have Havoc on ship with the bonuses, but the drones will look different.

 

Guessing you missed the recent OA about drone designs - people will be able to use cosmetic designs and designs that provide bonuses at the same time.
Yes some people will say it's a waste of money, but it's not their money. If people want to buy something because they think it looks cool then they will, its far better than them being able to buy a increase in power that other players would not have access to.

The Skull, Bat, Reaper are the the cosmetic designs, the Demon provides a bonus to rocket damage.

Don't think so sorry, would have assumed it would have been mentioned in the FAQ if it was possible to repeat it.

 

If that is correct then that would be good. I know a lot of players, including myself that did not buy the last design. Eventhough, it went to a good cause. The value for you money isnt there.
