    Hey pilots,

Lately I have been preety much active in DO, and have found out that too many Collonels keep "terrorizing" maps just for fun. For example, on GE 5 tonight, there is one MMO Collonel that is flying around every single VRU map and keeps shooting whatever comes in the way. I have been shot 3 times in a row, while jumping on different maps to keep boxing. Apparently, I couldn't box because he/she always seems to appear on any map I go.

So, I wanted to ask couple of things. What is the point into this "terror" some people inflict on other players? What's the point into making people log off the game?

Now, the more important question: How to develop when someone decides to do this all night? What to do in this situations? I can't box, I can't do missions cause those people keep flying and shooting everything map by map.

Any advice is more than welcome. :)

    Regards,

    Devy

  2. 1st of all, it is a battle game. you will get shot down. To answer your question, try cloaking and using emps to break their lock when shooting you. Put your best engines on your ship, and the best shields on your drones to improve shield strength(on both configs), if you are just boxing anyway. When you are hunting npcs, you will have to risk getting shot down, it is part of the game. Boosters help, and you can bid on them in the auction for credits. Join a good clan that will help you learn the game, and if you can, spend lots of money, that helps too. Dr.Blackbeard

  3. The thing to do is to sit still in a map for a little bit. As stated, it is as pvp game and unfortunatley for us, somebody got a jump on the strength ahead of us. However while they are trying to finish their pvp missions, they don't like sitting still. PVP is boring, truth be told and they will leave for greener pastures if nobody will give them any play. If you can't box, sit down and have a snack. They will be frustrated about booster time going to waste, and just may log.

  4. I feel your frustration Devy... DO hasn't really figured out how to keep the lower level players safe from the UFE trolls that like to live in enemy lower maps and kill everything nonstop. Most of us evolved by hugging ports and keeping an eye pinned on the mini-map for fast moving cloaked red dots (not like that helped most of the time however)

To box - jump in a spear as fast as you can - use its RECON & UCloak abilities to see and evade these guys asap.

  5. Sit in your x2 map, and keep an eye on the bar

Thank you all for the advises :)
I have though of this in the last couple of days, but I was not sure if I should spend my uridium and buy the Spearhead. Currently, I am boxing with Vengeance. But, most of the time players out run me, because they have the Pusat with Wheel formation, so when I do EMP they will lock me again because of their speed.

I will have to try this today to see if it worked :) Sounds cool :p Thank you.

  7. Keep Shooting things, collect bonus boxes and bid on things.

i used sit on the map and read the forums back when you could read the old board, soon they would go away except during the weekends i would rage quit.

The other day I was flying my leo, my sep factory was building up to the next lv. and here comes a pilot in a surgeon blows up a nost and i was heading to port to heal and he pops me.

The noob in the nost won't be back and I hear so many complaints about the lack of players in this game; for some of you look in the mirror and I hope you spent loads of cash. As the game slowly crawls back into a black hole. You did it!
