[GI] Demon Design:

Did DO tech. ever create an overlay for the Demon drone, so it could be used over Herc's or Havoc's design?

 

Darkorbit is currently working on a system to distinguish the bonus designs from cosmetics designs. they said therell be 2 drone designs slots one for the design with bonus and the other for a cosmetic as well as a way to know in-game if someone has on lets say Full hercules with the Silver skull Cosmetic. the demon drone will not be able to be put on with havocs and hercules, only bonus w/ cosmetics or no cosmetic

 

So you are saying no bonus with Demon design or no demon at all with bonus designs?
So only cosmetic designs will be usable, when the 2 design slots are available?
If this is correct sort of a shame I liked the Demon Design, but it might be pretty unusable. Thanks for your reply.

 

Can you point us to where they said that. I am curious as to how it will look and perform if you only have Havok/Herc/Demon on, and nothing else.

 

stated in this post here http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/board/threads/insights-on-the-current-state-of-planning.110357/ is mentioned about splitting vanity designs and stat designs. basically it works like this. there now 2 drones design slots. 1 for cosmetic and 1 for bonus. Allowed combinations: Hercules with Silver skull, Havoc with Beacon design, Demon with Silver Reaper Design.
Declined combinations: Hercules with Demon Design, Epic Demon design with Silver demon design, Silver reaper design with silver skull design. ect ect. keep in mind the allowed/declined combinations examples were talking about using just the one drones, 2 design slots, not 2 separate drones and 2 design slots all together. hope this helps

 

Your putting more into it than what was posted. If you have verification info on allowed and declined combination, I will take that link. Its not in the one you posted.

 

I don't know why you are classing the demon drones as a stat design and not a vanity design.
it changes the look of the drones, unlike Herc's and Havocs which just change the color of the drones, the added bonus as far as I understand will be added to the drones along with the Herc's or havocs stats. if it was that way then the demon drones tag would be similar to the ones of the Herc's and havocs.

ugh. allowed and declined combinations was just me making an example not a fact dont get your self in a knot-.- means that bonuses dont stack and 2 designs with no bonus that change the look of drone dont go together either since its 2 contradicting designs such as the silver skull and beacon, both which give no bonus. the demon drone gives a bonus of 1% rockt dmg and the hercules gives 15% shield boost. bost these designs cant be placed on the same drone because theres only a slot for bonus and cosmetic as both are bonus designs and this isnt fact, never said it was, but the feedback so far of the idea has been leaning toward everything stated so far above and here. if you care so much to find out look for yourself as i dont have to provide any links so back to the question stated in the first place, No, theres has been lots of talk from players not wanting them to stack as it would be to op and talk from the mods saying that its going to work having a RESTRICTED 1 slot for BONUS DESIGNS and 1 slot for COSMETIC DESIGNS.

i dont know how its all going to work when it comes down combing 2 designs that change the look of the drone expect the fact it either wont let you, or therell be a dominant one instead (example the first slot) the forum stating most the information is one about the beacon drones. that where this WHOLE 2 SLOT idea came from. people complained about buying something they cant use over there hard earned havocs and hercules so darkorbit is reaching out

 

Sort of too bad they just didn't create a boost slot and a non boost slot and you could put whatever design in either that you wanted.
Then you could have demons as well as Hercs or Havocs. Oh well that's probably to simple of a solution.
