    Cold Wave 2015

    Is the Cold Wave event the same event like last year?
    Yes and No.
    While the event features last year’s content (see here) Cold Wave 2014 FAQ.
    The Cold Wave 2015 comes with additional content like new ship and drone designs and a special edition of the Ultimate Battle Arena. Furthermore, the Christmas calender’s content was reworked.

    UBA: Frost Season
    Compete in UBA matches like usually but for extra prizes on top of the regular UBA rewards per server:
    - Place 1: Frosty ship designs, 10 Frost drone designs
    - Place 2: Frosty ship designs, 8 Frost drone designs
    - Place 3: Frosty ship designs, 6 Frost drone designs
    - Places 4-10: Frosty ship designs, 4 Frost drone designs
    - Places 11-30: Frosty ship designs, 2 Frost drone designs
    - Places 31-50: Frosty ship designs
    - Special title for Top10: The Blizzard

    Frosty Ship Designs
    The frosty ship designs will be available for Uridium in the Shop and for the following ship models:

    - Frostbite for Aegis

    - Icicle for Spearhead

    - Glacier for Citadel

    - Absolute Zero for Goliath.

    While the Absolute Zero (150,000 Uridium) will be a visual change only, the designs for Aegis, Spearhead and Citadel (200,000 Uridium each) will have the same stats like the Elite ship designs in addition to the changed visual appearance.

    Frost Drone Designs

    The Frost drone designs (DD-F-01) will be available as direct payment item only or as reward for finishing the UBA: Frost Season in Top30. The design will provide your drones an icy appearance but no bonus.

    Changes to the Icy Rockets (R-IC3)

    In response to last year’s feedback on the Ice Rocket being overpowered and potentially disabling a target for the whole of a fight, we have made the following changes:

    Name: Icy Rocket R-IC3

    “The target player gets a speed debuff of 100% (stopped) for 2 seconds. This can be interrupted or prevented by using EMP, Travel Mode Ability (Citadel) and AfterBurner (Lightning Design).”

    Hit Chance: 100%
    Range: 700
    Reload Time: 120 seconds – was: 30 seconds
    Uridium price: 300 – was 20 Uridium
    Sell price: 100 credits

    This change essentially makes the IC3 a more tactical instrument. It still works by stopping the target’s movement for 2 seconds, it’s longer reload will make it harder to “spam” it.

    The changed price does reflect the goal to make this rocket a tool instead of a cheap way to overpower your target.
