    Hi guys. I just ran a few calcualtions on what damage i should be hitting and things dont match up!!

    My stats:
    Surgeon
    10 LVL 16 HAVOCS
    33 lf4s X2 lf3s (20 on drones and 13 on ship) all lasers are not upgraded at all.
    Regular booster
    Seprom

    Im hitting anywhere between 11,000 and 14,000 x1 ammo.

    From what i calculated i should be hitting 16,258, but i havnt seen anything near that.

    I have tryed delelting my configs and reapplying them, but still no change.

    Can ayone offer a solution or some insight on this matter. Cheers

  2. You probably know but placement of equipment can increase damage, put upgraded lasers on drones rather than ship. Consider formation, design, seprom, bio, boosters (sorry if i forgot a damage increasing source).

    Try using this calculator also. Its not in English but its pretty easy to understand.

    When you do your damage test, are you shooting x1 at an NPC or a player?

    If you were testing your damage by shooting an NPC...
    When you did your calculations, did you consider the fact that Bounty Hunter I+II only applies against players?

    Yes. i wasnt taking Boutnty hunter into account. It was a x1 test on a NPC.

    If that's the case then i'm unsure where your 16,258 figure came from...

    Using the tables in that thread you linked:

    LF4 / No Ship Design / No Hunter / x1 boost / Drones Lvl 6 Havoc++ ===== 448
    LF4 / No Ship Design / No Hunter / x1 boost ===== 352
    LF3 / No Ship Design / No Hunter / x1 boost ===== 264

    Drones = (20 * 448) = 8,960
    Ship = (13 * 352) + (2 * 264) = 5,104

    Total Without Surgeon = 8,960 + 5,104 = 14,064
    Total With Surgeon = 14,064 + 6% = 14,908

    When you consider the fact that it is very unlikely you will ever hit the maximum damage possible, and that most damage values will range from 75% of the maximum upwards, the damage that you are seeing in-game doesn't appear too different than what is to be expected.

    Unless i'm missing something that is...

    Thanks for the reply and the explanantion, it makes sense now. However, what i would like to know is how people then hit 105k with x4. As all i have left to do is get another 2 lf4s and then upgrade all my lf4s to lvl16, plus get the second pro booster. I cant see how this can give a jump of nearly 45,000 dmg on x4( i know that drill is used to get this figure). Considering that upgrading the lf4s will only give 6% and the other booster 10%. So if im hitting 60,000 with x4 now, how can i get to 105,000. Doesnt add up to me!!

    A lot of it is down to various forms of boosters, however you should remember that when you are being hit for 105k, the value that you see on your screen is normally a combination of laser ammunition, rockets and hellstorms. I'm not sure whether the P.E.T. damage is also combined in that number, however if a player is able to shoot 105k then they most likely have a fully upgraded P.E.T. too.

    In theory, the maximum x4 count can be achieved as below;

    35 LF4 Lasers --- Upgraded to level 16
    10 Havoc drones --- Level 6 and upgraded to level 16
    Bounty Hunter I + II --- 12 %
    Seprom --- 60%
    Boosters (B01 + B02 + Kappa MUL) --- 25%
    Surgeon --- 6%
    Drill --- 20%

  11. Actually the influence designs (sovereign, peacemaker, and vanquisher) increase PvP (only against enemy companies I believe) by 7%, so you can go 1% over surgeon to do the maximum amount of damage ~ including all that was mentioned earlier in the thread.
