[UI] Pusat,Vengi,Spearhead

  1. I want the speed of these 3 ships reduced by 20 points.
    I want lasers slots reduced to 10 on the pusat.
    I also want the laser option to drones restricted.
     
  2. I do not want to have to worry about pusat and vengi or spearhead outrunning me when I need to escape.

    I need speed on my spear or else I get popped. So nerf the pusat and the vengi but not the spear.

    Tree chevrons and 5 gate rings and moan moan moan i want, you must be related to Statler and Waldorf. The vengi as always been faster than a goli and was the fastest ship till the spearhead, if you don't like anything about the game go play something else and keep the spam in a can.

  6. .....how about no. Spear trades weapons and hull for abilities. Vengi trades abilities for hull and lasers, pusat trades hull and designs for damage and speed

    well for 1 spear isn't made for fighting so jamx is useless. No one uses spear to scout so recon is useless and all it could do is say how many red dots are there which you could also know by just going there. Target marker gives damage boost but again spear isnt used in combat and no one uses target marker. Only useful is ulticloak which can't even cooldown fast enough during spaceball. Tell me about the so called 'balanced' abilities.
     
  8. Tell that to people who know what they're doing and have the equipment. I know many players who hunt in spearhead and do just fine killing other fe and ufe in it. Target market? That stacks mate. Ultimate cloak? How about ultimate bloke - can be used to stealthily creep up on prey or get the hell outta there. Jamx stops aegis from healing itself 65k per sec, stops spectrum, stops venom, stops sentinel, all which I've seen used against these players in spear and they just destroy. So uh, yeah, balanced :)
     
  9. actually, your statement is proof that you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. I often hunt in a spear and take out aegis.
    1. JAMX - stops aegis from healing as well as other skills being used on other ships so they can't venom you increase damage ot reduce incoming damage.
    2. Target Marker. increases your own damage and that of anybody in your outfit against the target.
    3. Ultimate cloak - alright not used much in hunting except from sneaky getaways after EMP and cloaking.
    these three when i ncombination with various other things like instant Shield, EMP, citadel and a friendly aegis makes the spear a very useful tool to have. i've faced UFE spears hitting 100k and survived when 2 shots with moth would have taken me out. These days, Darkorbit is 90% teamwork and 9% skill and 1% gear. If you work well enough with your group, 3 FEs can take a UFE down without any of the group popping

    so where is spear's shields coming from? Ok fine in some situation you suicide and noobs don't shoot back so you go all speed and damage. But wait damage? That thing has 5 laser slots. DO didn't make spear for combat, they made spear for scouting and moving around in general. Don't get me wrong, I find spear very useful. But not in combat, where it excels is boxing and thieving cargo from spaceball. Maybe even creating false alarms when capturing domination beacons during that demanero event. See how I am using spear for what it's designed to do rather than what it's not designed to do cough cough combat. That's professional. For hunting, I use goliath which is designed for pvp. Those players you mention would have all done what they did even better with goli or maybe vengi. In spaceball ulticloak is good. Jamx destroys my own stealth, target marker not needed cause i know where sb is. Recon I well don't use that and neither do the people you mentioned. So spear is balanced, just not balanced in combat. What it lacks in combat is made up for in spaceball.

    Spear is meant to be a cloaking ship but saying ulticloak isn't the best ability is just inverted. I'm not sure why a cloaking ship would have a jamx that destroys its own cloaking specialty. Jamx seems more like for a goli that gets in those intense fights. Target marker was probably more meant to mark a single target for an outfit rather than increase damage. The damage increase is just a bonus. You didn't really seem to be using target marker for actually marking a target so you didn't use it like it was intended to. You too do not use Recon.
     
  12. you know, if you spent as much time practising with these abilities in PvP as you do; ranting about the unfairness of the ships you haven't got a clue how to use, you would be doing much better in the game. Recon, whilst I may not use it much has located a lot of people in enemy maps for me and people I hunt with, considering a big cluster of red dots is an enemy shooting an NPC or a trail is an enemy being chased. In the battle maps, 4-X, recon also is useful in locating an enemy and engaging - or if you prefer fleeing. so instead of saying Vengies and Pusat need to lose speed / agreeing with someone who says the same, why don't you just learn to use the ships better? agreeing with vengeances losing 20 speed because you like using a spear is just bad and shows your ignorant as to how others use ships. if a spear was the only ship with 588 speed with maxed G7900s and prom, how else would any other ship keep up? that would unbalance the game and everyone would use a spear
    having JAMX as a basic ability for a goli is redundant as a basic goli doesn't have need of JAMX as it has the extra laser slots to overpower an aegis whereas a spear doesn't. The Developers have put a lot of thought into balancing these ships for improved communications to create a friendly environment where players work together to take on tougher opponents. In an outfit of 7/8 people, a spear would boost the damage of every other member hitting the same target. This makes the entire group hit harder. A citadel in the same group? takes all the damage onto itself whilst it can reduce incoming damage with other abilities, not even including drone formations like diamond heart and ring...
    Likewise, an Aegis in the same group, healing the citadel whilst it is taking all the damage and even if the rest of the group barely hit 10k with x4 ammo, the whole group can outlast even a UFE. not even a UFE can survive 10k hits a shot from 8 different players whilst one ship is drawing the 100k+ hits and getting healed at the same time. this is without boosters, EMPs, Insta Shields, Drone formations and debuff rockets like PLDs and ICRs
    Bottom line; this game is about tactics, teamwork and dedication - not whining, being lazy and going solo

    you saying I don't know how to use spear simply because I use it for spaceball and boxing rather than combat is very opinionated and automatically assumes that boxing and spaceball experiences are not considered experiences. I've stolen many cargo boxes with my high speed spear and wheel and the pet benefits too. Ulticloak allows me to stay there without getting popped. I can outspeed others in sb because i have wheel but pusat can hit the same speed and have pet same speed. Not only that but it can hit hard. It's like people get pusats just to pop my spear and they having hitting boost. Just like making cannons to destroy castle walls. When cannons came out, castles became obsolete. Some castle lords may be adept and get around disadvantage just like the people you mentioned, but that doesn't change the fact, cannons and castle walls are not balanced. I'm sure ufe can use liberator to pop goli with skill, experience, teamwork, wallet, etc but that desn't make goli and libbys balanced.

  15. Not really actually, I said it was great, now it's just good, on par with vengi and pusat, instead of being the fastest ship it's now among others. I never said it was bad, in fact the opposite, try again ;)

    Also the fact you searched for holes in my argument is nice. People rarely do that anymore instead of just yamming off

    If i say x was great until y happened. That implies x is no longer good ever since y happened. If you saw something like "X was great until Y was released" on SAT and a question asked what is implied by the question, you would eliminate a choice that says"X was great now they're just good." A correct answer would be something like "X is no longer good". Now your turn to try again.
     
  17. honestly, it seems as if you spend all your time on forums so what's the point in bothering with if spears were faster than the rest. with wheel, a spear is still only equalled by a pusat and even then, they are equal a pusat has more lasers but a spear can still hit the same using target marker
     
  18. sounds like the OPs dilemma is he/she wants to force the ship to his/her playstyle rather than listen to experienced players and adapt the play style to the ships strengths while making note of the weaknesses

  19. A spear cannot hit the same as a pusat ever with same equipment but it's more tactical in its abilities. When something is no longer great it doesn't mean it sucks at all. Just means it doesn't stand out anymore.
     
  20. tbh it depends on the setup of both ships, it cannot hit the same as an assassin con pusat but it can deffo hit as much, if not more than a full shields pusat. i've come across spears hitting 120k by themselves when they were released and come across pusats only hitting 50k quite regularly
