[TEI] Icy's for Event Quest but not available

Please explain to me why we have to wait for a scheduled time to do a specific event mission? Not everyone is able to be on during the same 4 hour period and as the only response I get from chat is I have to wait for the programmed time of the Icy Meteroids to do the quest, it is stupid to require us to complete ALL quests to be able to open the Winter Galaxy Gate. Other events that had Icy's involved we had them showing up all day long. This is another MAJOR failure for D O and as such I am ready to tell you to kiss my _ _ _! I have already stopped spending money as I have found it to be throwing it in the crapper.

 

The Calendar posted the times that these would be coming out on the maps. Not all quests are going to be able to be done immediately.
As you can see from the calendar these are available more than once.

You can also see on your home page, what events and items will be occurring.

This event has been the biggest let down ever lol sinces half the event is working the other important part aint like the special npcs the boxes lol I wont be on all next week so I wanted to get my boxing on this week but as expected the event does not go as planned happy not gift giving lol.

 

This does not explain why they would make 2 missions (so far) that a person has to be able to FIGHT the UFE wanting to get ALL rewards from destroying something during a time when you will have everyone trying to kill it causing MAJOR LAG. I stopped doing the invasion gate because I kept freezing in the map and getting popped because of the lag.

 

Why can they not make these come out all day long like they used to allowing all players a chance at seeing them instead of forcing us all to look at the same time dealing with the lag generated by this many items in the map.

 

unfortunately I do not have an answer for that. I can only say that they will make the Icy's available several times to give players the option to complete the quests.

Well as it seems that D O really does not care about how their events are running and has obviously chosen to alienate the noobs trying to enjoy the EVENTS, you can close this thread as you have proven my feelings of WHY D O has become a bunch of Ghost Town Servers and why EVEN Veteran WALLETS have left the game for other, more entertaining, games.

I appreciate FINALLY getting a TRUTHFUL answer to WHY D O is chasing its players away by making their EVENTS beneficial to cheaters/botters/UFE players only.

 

Im never online during 7-10 pm server time so they can make icys for 3 months every day and i still will not be able to complete quest.

 

I agree ..I hv same issue too. They come out everyday at 7:00 pm.. I cant play at tht time

 

Last year they had a few all day icy. Maybe it will happen this year as well.

 

I dont think thats going to happen.

Maybe but this is just week one.

 

I did all the past icy event's... but i ditch 1 class of mine just to do the quest and online at that time and it ain't ganna happen again bcuz it's now worth it. lol

 

It would have been at least nice to alternate the set times that those NPCs apprear, make it 2 hours later one day, the other 3 hours earlier or so; I think then at least some of us would be able to get on at those times (not these specifically) and complete the two event quests, which nonetheless offer crappy rewards

 

It's because big point don't care about people who work unsociable hours or just have better things to do with their lives during such silly made-up prime time hours on Dark Orbit and big point treat you with disdain for daring to have a life and a career hehe

It is a trend among a lot of events now especially when you have people with nothing better to do with their time than farm icy's which they would do if they were out for a full 24 hours per day because fake stuff in a meaningless online game is far more important to some people than having a real life and real things of real value .

Same thing happens with bonus boxes too, during some events they are on during set times so I like many players never get to collect them while the cheatophiles of GB2 who live in other countries never miss set time event bonus boxes regardless of time zone differences as they have the magic ability to collect bonus boxes 24/7 ...

 

Previous Events that had these ICY's had them spawn in different maps all day long and it allowed the NOOBS to attempt to find them before the UFE came along and popped them so they could collect the entire rewards for having popped the ICY but now every map, that the ICY's appear in, have a bundle of UFE's flying in them so the noobs can not even touch it as they are being popped for the simple fact they are LEACHING their ICY.

 

for the over 50s, 7.00pm to 10.pm ICE HEMORRHOIDS

 

Done icys last evening and done the damage mission and it was fair shares all around even a couple of liberators having a go like back in the old days when every one pulled together best fun I have had in a long time. Helping the newbies pop icys made it even better.

 

As you can fully see the Icy's have only been available at certain times. However it is almost unlikely that the entire event is going to be that way. I have faith that the Dev team is aware that not all players can play during those times.

As for the UFE players taking all of the Icy's - I would hope that during this time of giving... they would be willing to give a little of themselves to help the smaller player.
