[GI] Battle for Influence/Espionage Package Designs

After reading through the different posts on these items (they carry the same names for the designs so I assume they are the same), I do not see any actual D O/BigPoint information to help CLARIFY the issues. Questions/complaints seen when dealing with the INFLUENCE designs were these were COMPANY SPECIFIC and would only work if wearing the colors for the company you were in. I seem to remember reading (when they sold the ESPIONAGE Package during UBA 2015) that these were the same dmg (7% to enemies of color worn) no matter what company you were actually in. I am truly confused as to what the benefits are of OWNING these designs.

If I follow the logic of the Influence designs, being MMO I should only use the Vanquisher design as the others do nothing for me since they are for the other companies. But, following the Espionage description I get the dmg bonus on the enemies of the company I am wearing (Peacemaker would give me boost against MMO and EIC, Sovereign would give me boost against MMO and VRU, this assuming I wanted to be tagged as an MMO killer and getting negative honor for killing MMO). I am unable to find any information from BigPoint about the Espionage Package and there is no clear information dealing with Influence (except the company each design represents and the dmg is permanent but there was influence bonus during the event of April 2014) other than that was players asking and answering questions in posts like this and it was mainly a complaint line of how the bonus was not working and how everyone felt "ripped off" because they changed companies and now had to buy the NEW companies design to gain the boost.

Please help with clarification of this issue, or direction to the OFFICIAL post telling us about these packages (Battle for Influence I have seen but like I said it left more questions than answers) prefer a FAQ's link as they seem to answer better than Official Notices do.

 

As far as I know, which ever design you use it will still only work on nme company ships. If you are MMO and choose the EIC design you will still cause more damage to EIC and VRU. If you choose the VRU design you will still cause more damage to EIC and VRU. All you have done when changing "designs" is using a different colour of the same design. As you are still MMO.

I like the send to another thread which sends you to another and then to another. I wish I would have saved the SALES pitch for buying the ESPIONAGE PACKAGE because it stated it fairly clear, the damage increase was against the enemies of the company you were impersonating so if you were MMO wearing EIC colors you gained against MMO and VRU assuming you were at war with MMO to prevent losing honor. But there is NO DEFINITE CORRECT answer as everyone is using SUPPOSITION instead of FACTUAL proof or INFORMATION.

Could the mods contact the DEVs and post the information in the FAQ's so we can end this circle jerk, I went to 4 different "go here" links and am still just as confused as I was to begin with.

 

The 7% damage bonus only counts against the enemy company,

MMO design --> damage boost against VRU and EIC ships, but not against mmo ships, even if you have war with them.

This is how I remember it to be. Preaty useless though, as you don't get extra damage against own company war. I think this is also what the mod in the link tried to say. If you really want it official, try support?

 

What you say is true, but the question is, if you are MMO and use the EIC design, what damage bonus do you get and which company does it work on? Or do you lose the bonus or does it still work on VRU and EIC or MMO and VRU? Or none.

Here is what was posted during the event.

Company-themed designs Company designs:

These designes were available in the shop for 150,000 Uridium and also in the payment sections for the duration of the The Battle for Influence event.

Each design gives a 5% bonus to influence gained for respective corporation and a 7% damage bonus against other company players (These effects are permanent but the influence bonus will not do anything after the event ends).


Please Note as far as I am aware:

When the event is running the player must be flying the company ship he or she resides in recieve the 5% influence bonus and 7% pvp damage.

However when the event is not running the player can fly anyone of the 3 designs and still recieve the 7% Pvp bonus against other players.

During the event it was you needed to where your company colors to gain any benefit. BUT now they are selling them as a package and this is where the confusion has been created. I should have cut and pasted the sales pitch so I could remember exactly what it said. But you are allowed to wear any of the colors and suppose to gain benefit of the extra damage but only to the enemies of the company you are wearing which basically is your friendly and the third company players. But again the EVENT information contradicts the NEW information and is where the clarification request is coming from.
