[SC] What has Happened?

We used to be able to see upcoming events/releases in the HeadQuarters section of the Forums. Now we are required to read an "UNOFFICIAL" post to see what is coming out soon and only get supposition from it as the actual information is not posted here (just what has been seen in a script) and do not know for sure how it will work.

Other than a post about a "Signature Contest" (for the forums) and Astraea being guilted into posting about the NEW ADVENT Calendar there has been no update since the day after Thanksgiving and that was about a previous Release (the Kuiper Gate) unless you read the Event FAQ's which did tell us of the upcoming Winterfest but referred us to the 2014 event hoping it would be sufficient to give us the information we needed.

Has D O become so absorbed in the game that they do not want to give the community the insider information of what they are releasing before they make the change, like they used to, we used to be able to see the day of or just before what was happening preventing all the confusion. Now you add a REPEAT item and instead of following the ERROR assigned with the doors ("The day's date must match the number on the calendar door") and changing the numbers to coincide with dates they post a conversion chart as the new one looks like what we had if we did not open the doors of the last one.

Then when we voice or dissatisfaction of the information being given out, the thread is closed with a comment "This thread is Closed as the player is unofficially dissatisifed.". All we ask is to give us proper information in the area we are told to look for information any time there is something NEW added to the game so we KNOW what is happening. Not everyone knows about the "UNOFFICIAL: DarkOrbit Revealed" thread (I only know of it as I watch all forum MAIN PAGE headings for NEW posts and saw it) and as Okapi posts what he THINKS is happening it is not GUARANTEED it is correct unless posted in the FORUMS properly.

 

You cannot blame the mods for the lack of OA's to events, they can only post an OA once they have been given the correct info from the devs they also cannot post OA's based on spoilers in the unofficial darlorbit revealed as the the info is not 100%. The info in the events thread saying that the winter event would be the same as last year with a few extra items was accurate. The problem of lack of info is down to the devs and not the mods as they are not employes of DO who give up there free time to keep the forum up and running.

We try to post the list of upcoming events under Event Announcements, as and when we are informed about a certain event by the support team.
I understand what you are trying to say, I can assure you that this will be addressed in some time.
As far as the regular event goes it is now being updated under Calendar Section.

There was no information about the NEW ADVENT CALENDAR except from the UNOFFICIAL information from the REVEALED thread including in the CALENDAR SECTION you mention. These Daily events (Kronos day, mentioned when signed in, Upgrade hour, Level Invasion, etc.) are not the events I am talking about but as the DEV's don't want to let the Community know what they are doing I guess D O is going to be an UNOFFICIAL GAME and thus you will be losing a lot of players as they are going to become so frustrated about not knowing what is going on they all QUIT the game. The Event Announcements have been VOID of any information since the KUIPER Gate failure except for the Seasonal Signature Contest. The Winterfest Event was commented on in Event FAQ's but mainly just sent us to last years post about it.

Not blaming MODS, the DEV team can post their own information to the forums to let the community know of what they are doing instead of leaving us in the dark.

I find it funny that everyone knows MHH happens on SUNDAYS at 1900 server time yet there are NEWSLETTERS being sent out to entice those who have stopped buying URIDIUM to buy some again. There is a reason we stopped buying the stuff and the reason has not changed THIS GAME is headed to the dead zone and we have decided to not waste our REAL RESOURCES to pay for the lack of CARING we are getting from the DEV's.

So I brought this up to give my FEEDBACK to the DEV's and PERSONS who should care about the game and COMMUNICATION of NEW activities, but seem that it is being taken as a GRIPE against the MOD's of the forums, which it is not just seems that the purpose of the forums has been lost with the NEW CHANGES in the game and the company and thus shows the direction the game is going to be taking.

Might as well transfer all accounts to one server and close all other servers and hope you can get enough people to be happy enough to support the game in the future. As the lack of information being passed along is creating enough friction to cause too many to just be bystanders instead of players at this point.

 

The lack of information about the upcoming event is because it hasn't really started yet and the time of year with things being a bit rushed and hectic in general.

The calendar is just acting as a bit of a bonus that was started on the 25th because the 24 door layout leads up nicely to the end date of an event. You will know when the event has started when it has appeared in the breaking news section on your backpage. There will also be a popup layer the first time you log in since it is a hitac event.

I imagine any FAQs / OA will be posted the day the event starts or the day prior like normal, so nothing too much to worry about. There is no information missing than there usually would be.

The upcoming frost event just hasn't actually started yet. I can understand why some people are a little confused though.

 

The biggest issue is the NEW Advent Calendar looks just like the OLD one and the Snow Flakes look just like a missed opening of the Old A C. Maybe if the doors would have been numbered to coincide with the DATES it may not have been so confusing.

OH well since it seems that it is not a concern to those who should care this can be closed before it gets OFF topic too far.

 

I mean personally I didn't think it was that big an issue, the door with the number 1 on it is for the first day of the calendar and since there was no 25 it is just logical to press 1 instead. Probably took all of 30 seconds at most to realize the calendar was a countdown to the 17th January rather than a list of dates.
I've not seen anyone have an issue with it apart from a couple people on the forum, I don't think any other language team felt the need to point this out in the OA either.

 

Well IF people did not READ your UNOFFICIAL POST they would have thought this was going to start on the first also, but that is fine I am just a stupid kid that is getting disgusted with your stupid game. Just hit the wrong number and read the error message and understand the issue but again I am the stupid one.
