    Hi,

I have just read your comment and I'm asking myself what do you mean by "more events where are companies against each other"?

Is spaceball or CTB, just to name a few, such events that aim to pit each each company against one another? TDM was another great company vs company aspect of this game, but that was ruined by auto lockers.

The issue I have seen, which has been covered in this thread, is that if MCC. Spaceball is now owned by a few UFE MCC clans that just claim the rewards, and notably, this is not the aim of such events.

Therefore, I would welcome the removal of MCC clans as this would start to introduce a more rounded company vs company aspect of this game. Equally, greater punishment for shooting, or helping to shoot down you own company would see greater teamwork.

    Regards

  3. The only thing that would stop this is a revamp of the game not allowing ANY Friendly ship to attack another one (just like being in a group you can not ACCIDENTALLY lock a group member and shoot them) therefore if you are not RED you can not be fired upon. Also put a stop to the Company WARS, if you are against the company you are in then you are reported to Support for removal from the company and have to petition the other companies to accept you (this would be done by the Company LEADERS/Generals and such making the rank carry a responsibility to the company not just being TOP USER for that company) and would include entire clans if found that most of the clan was against the company. KOBK, for example would be kicked from MMO on USA West as Bermuda Cedar has been very outspoken against every clan in MMO and even calling out MMO CBS's when the shields are down requesting enemies to destroy them. However, when he got booted he would probably have all his accounts suspended as he is the clan and he is not liked by any company.

The difference being that you could still choose to leave a company (in good standing) and join another, again until you act treasonous against the NEW company. This would also require a better communication system to allow messages be sent UP the Chain of Command of each company to make reports of acts against the company. Say Joe Blow of ABC clan suspects Jane Doe of being a spy, Joe would report it to his clan leader (has to be ranked Basic Major or higher), who would then report it to ALL other clan leaders who would then keep a record of how many times Jane Doe is accused of this by other players (not I heard but actual sightings) then after due process and a vote of these top players make a request of support to make this ship a Non-Company ship and appear RED to all players (with NO company map protections). First, this would get rid of the MULTIPLE account players who have ships in every company, on one server, so they can spy for their primary company/clan. Second, it would return some Company Loyalty to the game, would not have people quitting because they are always in WARS within their Companies, or being killed by an assist of a friendly ship. Third, and the reason for this thread YOU would have to choose which company you wanted a clan to be and could only have members of that company in it, NAP's could be made to prevent friends of different companies from attacking each other but would not allow them to attack a BLUE named ship. And finally, it might prevent the need to change Companies every other month because VRU is better this month than EIC or so on.

This game was and has always been a Company against Company game not a Clan against Clan so we need to return to the roots of COMPANY BASED ALLEGIANCES and get rid of the Anti-Company garbage. IF it means putting safeguards to prevent attacking friendlies in place then so be it, IF it requires to KICK riff raff out of a company and make them an independent entity attacked by all players so be it (play by the rules or be a TARGET), persons kicked from a clan would be potential independent players as there would be a good reason for the leader to kick them from the clan, AGAIN these kickings would require more than a "he said she said" accusation and would have to have major documentation to justify but the possibility might just deter some of the crud we are now dealing with.

Well your answers have a great depth. My point was asking what exactly would the event known as "domination" entail?

    Thanks

  9. MCC clans - get rid of them or you won't have a game left. I'm out

  10. I tend to agree. Multi-Company Clans are a disaster to the game.

Bad for alliances, puts friends in an awkward position. You have alliance with a same company clan then one day you find enemy with green tag, everyone defending a map and you can't shoot because you have honor and abide by the alliance. This now also puts your clan in jeopardy of war because you don't help defend. That is just one scenario, there are many more. All this falls down to the new players who don't have the full grasp of alliances and make them with same company clans who are really MCC.
I think if the Multi-Company Clans continue, there should be a complete revamp of the diplomacy system in the game.

  11. The Alliances of enemy clans is different than the MCC problem. NAP's are generated between clans who have made friends with enemy clans, either from affiliations before they jumped companies or Real Life Friendships and often will survive a defense of another player being attacked in HOME maps. The reason the MCC's do not work is because the portion that belongs to your company can report your exact position to the enemy portion and allow them to get RED lock on you then help them kill you and not lose any honor for doing so. IF a friendly ship locks you they should automatically lose honor if you die, the only exception is if you locked them first as it is set now (Friendly V Friendly).

  12. I like dead servers because I don't trust the green dotted MCC. May not have 'war' with that green ship, but can report my position  if fly past.
