[TI] Drone letter colours

Now I'm not 100% sure if this is a bug / error or not but thought it was worth a thread anyway since it will seem to have issues in the future.

When it comes to the colour of drone letters above a players ship (AIIZIIIIII etc) I was under the impression this was so that players could tell what they are fighting against, same reason the average level indication was added recently as well.

Well the issue I want to raise is that the standard demons, the ones that could be bought, do not have the orange colour lettering, yet they offer a bonus in the game. Whilst the new icey drone designs which are purely vanity do have a new colour, a bright blue.

When the time comes where players can put vanity drones on top of ones with actual uses, surely this will be a problem?

If I am using Havoc then put Ice designs on top will I be able to hide my havoc by making my letters bring blue so people will not be able to tell what designs I have on or be mistaken and think I have Hercules. The same issue can be raised with standard demons, if I had them on then unless somebody has all players drone showing they would be under the impression I have no drone designs on that provide a bonus.


Beacons originally had yellow lettering too but it was removed, presumably since they were only vanity and did not provide a bonus.

Perhaps they will make the number just to the right of the drones the color of the now hidden Havoc, Hercules or Demons, ones that have added affects.

Ahhh...color mixing Hmm, most have red drones and the OP is referencing to the orange drones = black drones. Gonna have a frosty glow around the letters or the drone indicators will not be visible until said ship flys over a non-black background

 

Thank you all for your input on this issue, we are looking into the color variation issue.
Hopefully this will be something that is addressed with the new customization.
