  1. I have checked back and cant find a similar Thread so I will start one ..

The Timer on the Auction page has always been a little adrift in my view (i.e. the Auction finished slightly before the timer reached zero) and so I started to use a Satellite clock as my timer and learnt when to place my bids from that and this was very successful until a couple days ago... the difference has now stretched and seems to be 10-15 seconds adrift from the 'real' time....
Is there a reason for this... I understood why the Auctions were staggered in the first place but this variance with reality is not user friendly... please can you correct/standardise your clock :)
    Ty for your consideration

  2. The longer you leave the page open, the less accurate the timer will be. Refresh the page to get an accurate time.

eBay has more than 50,000 servers for ensure the bidding worldwide success last-second auctions. DarkOrbit has 60 servers. Notice the difference? DarkOrbit can not guaranteed a while auction responsiveness. Maybe some users are accustomed to experience DO auction like eBay or other websites specializing in auctions but here can be possible.

  4. again ty Bismut
the staggering of auctions across servers was obviously done to ease the 'strain' on their limited server capability but we also need to consider the fact that 'E-Bay' have millions of current and active bidders as it is actually a dedicated Auction site
I am more interested in the fact that this increased difference is more recent, as I regularly place bids on my server, and so it may be possible for the server admin to adjust to a Satellite clock alternative with their choice of time for the 'end' Auction time...

  5. I have found the problem is related to your computer speed and what other programs are running. On my laptop it lags by almost 15 seconds from my desktop computer. When you see this happening you might check to see what your cpu usage is at and check that, also might clear all the usual items to make sure you have the fastest refresh available to you.

I am only going from my experience and making suggestions not that these are what the problem is, but what they could be. But in agreement with Bismut, it could also be affected by the number of people bidding at the time, also (just like playing in the maps), causing abnormal lag.

  6. When i bid at last min I get capatacha ..its annoying coz i miss my bid

  7. reload the page every 30 secs, it will help

  8. I have never seen the captcha when bidding, read about people seeing it but I have never seen it.
When I am trying to steal an item I reload at 30 seconds and then place my final bid at 13 seconds.
