  1. So there are quite a few things in this game that involve time limits. Some missions are timed, and boosters give you bonuses for a limited duration. But what I'm wondering is this: Do any of these timers keep ticking when you're not in-game?

    Earlier today I went back and did a lower level mission that I never finished. One of the objectives was to finish it in 45 minutes, and I stopped to take a lunch break. When I got back and launched the game again around 20 minutes later, the timer seemed to be just about where I left off. So do all things with time limits only count down while you're in-game? I'm curious about anything and everything that involves a duration. Tech items, missions, boosters, cooldowns and generator upgrades from using ore. Do ALL of these things follow the same rule? Or are there things that can time out while you're not in-game?

    In the norm timed missions the timer keeps ticking down even if you log out, so if you accept a mission for example with a 45 min time limit once you accept the mission the time will run down till either you have completed the mission or the time runs out. When you add ore to your shields and speed gens the time runs down in real time not game time so when your offline the time still ticks away. Boosters are game time related from time of purchase and for ten hours game time so the timer stands still while your off line. cool down times are real time so if you use a special skill and once the skill as timed out and there is for example a 30 min cool down and you log out for 30 mins then come back your skill will be ready to use again. There are different tech items but I think the timed ones are real time but I cannot say for sure as I have always been in game when I have used them till they time out.

  3. Yes ALL timers will run while in-game maps but not all run while off line (logged out of maps). The timers USS-Aries spoke about are correctly defined and some not mentioned are;
    The 50% boosters (EP and Honor) that are given with the purchase of Uridium are real time and run whether you are in game or not. The timers for completing the Galaxy Gates are started once you go into the gate and run as long as you are logged into the maps but do not continue if logged out, jumping out to help a friend in the game still counts as time in the GG.

    It is strange that you did not see the timer run down when doing the timed mission need to see the wording on it to say for sure why it did not run while logged out, but if it had run down you could have collected the mission again to complete it. Some of the mission timers are to be in a certain map and only count when in that map, achievement timers accumulate time as long as doing as requested (time in battle maps, time in groups, etc) but stop when you stop doing the requested.

    Also Kappa-booster runs in real time, I think. Or at least when i got the booster from it and logged out - came back next morning it was gone.

  5. Thank you I have not had one of those so I could not speak towards it, but it does make sense that it would be a real time booster like the 50% uridium bonus booster.

    Never heard about 50% uri booster :O

  7. I think he shortened it as he stated in earlier posting here "50% boosters (EP and Honor) that are given with the purchase of Uridium" and did not think he needed to repeat it.
