[UI] Jackpot euros alternate use

I have not seen a thread about this yet (of course I may have not dug deep enough), but I would like to bring it up. According to the log on screen (dead center and low, beneath new account creation section), it states:

Please note that residents of the following states cannot participate in games/tournaments with cash prizes: Arkansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vermont. This also applies to residents of any other jurisdiction in which participation in cash-prize games/tournaments is restricted by law.

This means that anyone who is a resident of one of the aforementioned states (myself included) has ZERO use for jackpot euros.
What I suggest is some sort of conversion option to get other items that can be used in game. I would love to say 10 GG spins per jackpot euro (as i know some people have 10k euros and still get more in the boxes which don't count), but of course thats far too much. maybe like 2-3 GG spins per euro? I would also like to say uridium, but it would create a whole argument about how much uri per euro and would devolve quickly. It would also be nice to 'trade' euro for pally or sep but of course, there would still be arguments.

Overall, i'm looking for ideas from other players as to how euros can be used by those who simply cannot use them.

Of course people will complain about all the 'work' they put into the game. Its a game people, you play it. Unless you work for BP, its not a job. You sit in front of a computer playing a game. Its meant to be fun and satisfying. I know its tough when you see others get things more easily than you did that you spent time on but thats life. The game evolves and things you paid a lot of uri for end up in the auction house. The real payment is the opportunity cost of your time (look up economic 'opportunity cost' to clarify). Im simply asking everyone for their ideas on what could be done for those in this situation.

 

this would be great but i dont see them doing this. even when they shut down the jackpot battle for everyone (due to cheating) they still didnt do such a thing

 

At least the bonus boxes no longer give out JPA $$$

 

Tbh that doesnt sound like a bad idea, i only have 6k jpa money because i never really collected boxes when i went past them , but i have no intention in taking part in future JPA as it would just be a waste of my money to get ammo etc, id be happy to swap my 6k for 600gg spins or 60k uri

 

This idea has been posted many times and in many ways and as always come up with a negative from the dev team, exchange for GG spins although a good idea would as all other ideas for jackpot euros to date be put into file 13. My own feelings on jackpot euros would be if a player cannot use them because of a legal restriction or because they have no intention of entering a jackpot battle could use them like loyalty points and donate them to a good cause as a reward for this maybe be given a set of cosmetic drone designs and a title called Heart of Hearts.

 

GG spins is always a good idea. But not sure if BP will do this considering they won't make any profit out of it.

 

they could have like a wishing well event for charity each player can donate their JP euro into a well and do matches a % of the total with cash for a charity every year that way those not able to compete in tourney still have a use for jp euros

might even be a cool reward I would love to see if donate 10,000 jp euros you receive the sturgeon pet design. The design could have one extra protocol slot or laser slot to match the OP of the sturgeon< (sarcasm for the laser) be purely cosmetic otherwise

smaller rewards for milestones would be cool too at least that's my idea and the charity might be a writeoff for DO so it really might intrigue them

I like the gg idea. Even at 1 for 1, its a great idea. Players who have worked hard I am sure have gathered lots of spins from boxes or pally. This is the same thing as you get the euros from boxes so nothing to argue about. Personnaly, I have gathered 350 in my first 3 months playing and know I am not quite ready for a gate yet but it would still be good to see it used for something since JP is likely not going to open again, and even if it is, let us do something constructive with them until it is fixed.

 

Just give us back JPA

Right now you can do nothing with it. It has been put on hold but they don't take the euro's out of the boxes which basically cost the players, even though it is given free. We could be given other stuff in stead that we are more likely to use.

 

Allow us to buy in game items not sold in the shop with those euro's or hold a lottery similar to the hittac lottery for things like:

Fully upgrading items of our choosing that we already own "ie Generators, Drones, Lasers, Modules."
20 Lf-4's.
Apis & Zeus drones.
Drone designs packs.
Pet designs packs.
Ship design packs.
Year long boosters of our choosing.
An administrators type ship.

Say have each lottery bid cost 20 euro's or 20 uri. and announce the prize up for winning every week as well as the winners of each lottery.

 

Turn it into uri

Up to 10,000 JPA = 33003300 uri

 

I say remove the JP Euro's from the Bonus Boxes and whatever they replace that with turn the collected euros into the same item based on the average amount in each box (calculated on the averages of how often we would collect each value of box, I seem to recall seeing 3 or 4 different amounts). This allows D O to set the value to what they want, removes the need to think about JPA, and gives us something for the stuff we collected and was worthless to us (not only because of the cheaters but because not all of us {could/wanted to} participate in the JPA).

Just make it something worth the effort we put in collecting the junk to begin with.
