  1. I really need help. This is seriously stressing me out. I am using the Torch web browser since it works the fastest on my laptop and just a few days ago, the 3D mode was working perfectly.
I went to Google Chrome (which I do not use, I just wanted to check something) and noticed it was full of adware. I used the AdwCleaner to remove them, it worked but it also deleted my Torch web browser because it listed it under "potential adware carrier" and I got really pissed because Torch and Safari were the only browsers I actually never had issues with and they never contained any type of adware.
I reinstalled my Torch and when I opened the game I noticed it turned it back to 2D mode. This has happened to me several times before, because I had to reinstall Torch and as usual I went to torch://plugins, found my Adobe Flash plugin, but there was no newer nor older version. There was only the newest version. Usually, I had to disable the older version so it would read the newer one and then the 3D mode would work fine. But not now. I checked if it was the newest version of Adobe, it was. I checked if I had the newest version of Torch, I did.
I can run the 3D mode on Safari, but Safari is too slow on my laptop. What do I do?
Game options say my Flash Player might be out of date, but it is not. WHat iS HAppENING

  2. Have you verified the check mark has been removed from the box for 2D mode?

Dark Orbit is full of AdWare (the logout page adds this every time you log out) the items advertised on the log out page are AdWare items.

Have you checked you Flash Player Console and deleted the history there also?

Post server and User ID so mods might be able to look into the problem with Tech Support also.

  3. Yes, the check mark from the box has been removed and clicking on it doesn't do anything. Just a message pops up and says I can't run the game in 3D mode because either my Flash Player isn't up to date or whatever else.
Second, yes I noticed those ads before, but I had a major problem with pop-up windows, pop-up ads, and ads scattered around Chrome. I even had to remove some of them manually.
Third, I just deleted the history, it did not help.
Lastly, my server is Global Europe 4 and my user ID is 101934069.

  4. Uninstall your browsers and run a virus checker. It sounds more like you have some malware going on. Although there is a lot of adware in everything, I never have it plaguing my computer.

A great checker is Malwarebyte Antimalware. After running the checker, then reinstall your browsers. I use Torch and Chrome, as well as a few others for the game daily and don't have these issues you describe but did have a neighbor whose computer became unusable after having your issue for a week.

  5. OH MY CLOD, OKAY. Thank you for notifying me. I am slightly terrified now. (I'm getting a new laptop soon anyway, but that's still in a few months)

  6. Well, I just scanned my system, there were tons of detected objects, I deleted all of them and it still didn't help. I really don't know what's going on, but this laptop is becoming worse and worse.
It IS an old laptop after all, but still.

  7. Sounds like you have a virus in there causing some issues. Whatever you do don't transfer any files from the old computer to the new. Might have someone (professional) hit it with a virus scan that gets everything, especially if you have any information there you need for the future.

  8. I was afraid of this. Some virus's have to be handled individually. The actual problem will be a program that has to be installed that you may not realize you have going. HMHY is right in a pro, or someone who knows how to ask "did you want that program or no," to check it out. Some problems can be as complex as 10 different programs that help each other stay installed. It takes some serious time and effort. Check for browser extensions that you didn't intend to have as well.
Sorry about the issue you are having. If you have a friend that is computer knowledgeable, that you trust, give a ring. Good Luck.

I hope this might help. In order to eliminate virus's, it is sometimes necessary to keep the PC offline while running an antivirus program. If your PC is Windows, you might try "Windows Defender Offline" from Microsoft. They recommend that you download onto a computer that is not infected. You then create either a bootable CD / DVD or USB drive and run it on the infected computer. Good luck.

  10. Woah, I'm getting so much feedback! Thank you a lot, people. I really appreciate this. Sadly, I don't know anyone personally who's a professional. I DO know a lot, but then again when it comes to things like these, I'd rather not try too hard and screw my laptop up or lose my sanity while trying.
Also, when it comes to extensions, I do not have any. I'll see what I can do. Thank you.

  11. Happy to help.

  12. Look under computer repair in the Phone book and see if anyone is close to you and schedule an appointment with them to look at it. Yes it is going to cost a little but the software they use for this is WAY more expensive than the cost of cleaning the PC and will allow you to keep this as a backup for issues when the NEW computer needs work done.

Have you ensured that "Enable hardware acceleration" is ticked in your flash control panel?

  14. Yes, yes I have. It is ticked.
Just as an update I'd like to tell you that I am honestly not even sure anymore if all my Chromium based browsers are even reading the correct Flash Player plugin. I checked my Flash Player updates and it clearly says I have the 21.0.0.213 (NPAPI) installed and the 21.0.0.218 (PPAPI) installed, but when I look at my Torch plugins, it says it's using the 21.0.0.182 version.
I am familiar with the fact that Chromium based browsers use Pepper Flash. I accessed my components, it clearly said it's the .182 version and when I check for updates, it says there are none. I don't know if there are any updates, I don't know what the deal is with this. I can't properly manage anything anymore.
Even Safari is starting to be a complete dingus.

  15. Find you some local help for your computer. You need to get the "mess" cleaned out and software updated.

  16. I'm getting help on Monday. Mum said she's going to call her firm IT manager and we'll try to work it out over TeamViewer. I hope he'll be able to help.
I am terribly anxious when it comes to talking to strangers over the phone, but I'd do anything to fully enjoy this game.

  17. If it is a virus there win't be much he can do over the phone, but maybe if he remotely accesses you computer on their system (not something I would do with an infected computer) he could download a virus checker for you to run.

    Good luck with this.

  18. Sounds like a good plan.

  19. Well, Mum called him, then we talked over the phone while he was able to access my laptop over the TeamViewer app but he still couldn't to do anything about my problem.
While Torch isn't, Chrome is finally reading the correct file (v 21.0.0.216) but I still can't run the game in 3D. I guess my laptop is just being a complete dingus and I can't do anything about it but wait. He also stated that most probably Torch still hasn't made a Torch version compatible with the newest version of Flash Player, but that they are probably working on it.
I could play the game on Safari if only my laptop wasn't this slow. It's really time to get a new one. This is sad.
But yeah! Thank you all for all this support and feedback. I'm glad you tried helping me out.
I'm pretty sure this thread is kind of hopeless now, so closing it could be a nice idea...?

  20. Well we did try. You could still take it to someone. Remote access is not really the best for your situation. Somethings need physical contact and time to fix.

Did he clear out all the malware? Your kind of problem takes a few hours of work and I am sure he was under pressure for time he could actually focus on it.

Sorry for your misfortune and maybe the next laptop will do you better. Safari on my tablet is slow also. I take it you are using windows. Safari has discontinued support for windows versions so is likely to crawl.
