[GI] Sole Cube for low ship?

Can i get so advices with config to solo Cubes(don't mind using x3 and sab)


i don't have problems soling them wih hp,dmg,shield boosters but does not really worth the credit investment atm

I have 10 drones, 11lf4 , enough lf3/bo2 , kami 3
Drone formations available : drill, ring, diamond , hearth (that might help vs cubes)

What is the better ship : aegis elite or some shield design goli?
How should my config look like and what formations i should use (ring with sab and drill with x3 let me with quite low hp after the cube , if i don't pop)

 

I like Goli, but Aegis is ok too.

Here's a bunch of other tips I wrote up a year ago , most should help you.

Here are some pointers:
1. run double tank configs, with 3-4 drones with shields on each side( you want 600-700 k shields per side)..no need for speed, if an enemy comes oh well.
2. have diamond, it is THE most important thing for soloing cubes X1 ( with SAB and X3, you wont need diamond)
3. havoks help. ( a rough minimum is 10k on laser DPS)
4.you NEED at least the regular boosters from auction (hp, shield , damage), and double boosters are good too, but cost uri.
5. run with pet , kami / have it in guard mode, the 1-2 k damage it hits helps.
6. use 3030's or the strong PLT-2021's (from gate spins, don't buy with uri).
7. Stay as far away from cube as possible, you can reduce damage from 18k a second to as little as 7k damage a second...( the side effect is you can't reach with regular missiles, but the trade off in damage reduction to you is well worth it)
8. have at least a little sab and X2 on hand in case some LBK's find you and add 4k damage a second to you, that adds up, and you might need to speed a cube up some.
9. EXTRA TIP: Start with heart formation for the xtra 10% shielding, let cube hit you for that 10%, be it 50 or 60 or 70k damage, then switch configs while still in heart. THEN after another 60k damage to the second config, switch to diamond, you now have full HP and shields again, since the 10% damage the cube did to you was negated by the 10% heart boost.....This lets you get 10 free seconds of volleys till you start with full hp and shield in diamond config.
EDIT: All this is for a Goli, but Ageis is about the same.....it seems the word around town is the goli is better for cubing. .. good luck.

 

I'm going to be honest but you need to do at least 20k x3 soloing a cube.

 

with prom i have around 25k , not that was the problem but the configuration of the ship and drone formation....
and since i said i have no problem soloing it with boosters this post was pointless...

tried earlier with 4 shields on drones and diamond , and it worked much better than ring and drill variation and could finish it with only 1 configuration , but that 700k shield is deff. not a "low ship" since you need to upgrade you shields . I get to 600k (1.3 with ring) if i put 31 shields on ship
Well i will start using goli when i use x2 to solo a cube , until than will stick to aegis

 

Well, you could just put on Seprom and increase your chances of successfully soloing a cube by a lot...

And when I mean you need to hit at least 20k X3, I mean that you literally just need to hit 20k X3, it won't matter what formation you're in, you could SAB and then X3 the cube.

And for configs, you could just use your fighting configs like I do.

I'm literally giving you suggestions on how to solo a cube, but you're calling it a useless post?

I pointed out that you could put Seprom on your ship (which in all honestly you should always have on) and increase your damage and chances of doing a cube, I told you that you could pretty much solo a cube using a fighting config, and I told you that as long as you're doing a specific amount of damage, you could use pretty much any formation you want (heart, moth, diamond, etc), and any ship or design you want.

I'm not going to give you anymore suggestions if you don't even know what suggestions you want to take.

1/2 shields, 1/2 weapons on both sides (drones).
Had like, 3 LF4s at that time & didn't really need PET.
No Apis or Zeus or even boosters xD
Used Seprom :>
Combined heart & diamond.
If you use Sentinel, and have good timing with the ability, you only need single tank.

 

tank config and speed config and u do need to be doing atleast 20k dmg unless u plan to sit there for 5min and hope u dont get killed.

 

lol so Tru Bob. Sitting using X1 and Heart/diamond combo takes soooo long. Sab and X2 or 3 is much quicker.

And Chem you should chill, because Black did post some good tips !
