[TEI] Crafting system uselss

Just thought i would let you know that the crafting system is useless, i for one am not killing 5000 siamon, 800 siblon and 300 siblonite, just to get a surgeon, i would rather kep my ammo, boosters and seprom for better thing and do without the surgeon, what happened to salvaging our useless lf3s, speed gens and shield gens? without salvage the crafting is pointless.

 

Boy are your numbers low... But as for your question, depending on your server, they can be gotten, for cheap, in the auction. Of course, depending on your server, they could be astronomically high as well.

This is something new, mainly to keep the lowers alive with the big boys as the new guys will be shooed off as if they were trying to join in with cubes. Cheers...

 

Salvage is a feature that may possibly be added later as part of the ongoing development plans, it was said the AS would add new special ore's for crafting to start with and there could be a possible update in the future for salvaging no longer needed equipment; so it is still worth while hanging on to old equipment just in case the salvage feature is added.

 

Got to thinking about your question some more. I take it you are referring to the extra equipment you may have on hand. They need to come up with a system for using it for something, as just selling it seems crazy and time consuming. It took forever for me to clean up my other account of extra equipment when there should have been a better way. Getting the material for is not useless though, and is not a race as it will come back from time to time. Not all players even need it, like myself. However for those who would like it without having to pay for a special uri purchase, its an option, one that many have achieved.

According to DO's last twitch session, the Surgeon is the most sought after Goliath design to date. Of course it will be the most expensive for being the best in class. Same with Pusat. Other items, such as ammo, drone designs, and the P.E.T, are not as expensive because they aren't as high class as the designs. They said that they were holding off on adding the materials to the shop because they wanted to test the drop rates, because nobody knows how to use test server (they're given 10,000,000 uri and run off to gates with it), so they have to run tests on current server. Not to mention the DDoS attacks on one server, the lag recently introduced, etc. So no, Assembly is not worthless to those that are relatively new, such as those needing the PET or wanting halloween drone designs. For people who have the guns and ammo to spare, that's why Surgeon and Pusat is available, so they have something to use Assembly for.

This isn't to go unsaid though, a heavy amount of the DO community feels it to be worthless, but I also heard that the recipes to craft will change every 2-3 weeks, but don't hold to me to that, it's not confirmed yet.

 

If it is worthless or not really depends on what you have. If you already have Surgeon, Pusat, and Pet, it may not be for you. The rest is really cosmetic or ammo. I run credit and already have a pet so I don't really need it either but will do as I can while working my project. I may get pet and drone designs out of it.

 

Thanks for the replies, what happened to emps in the crafting menu?? is that too f2p for you guys? i only have moth also maybe a drone formation would have been nice on the list, i have a spectrum dont (need) a surgeon tyvm also i got a pusat from my 1st kuiper, on kuipers 1st day think most people did

 

I must agree when they took my cargo and replaced it with yet another item I can not use it is pretty useless to me. I want my cargo and subsequent credits from same. Stop stealing my credits from me with these substitute items (Green Booty Boxes started it then Red and Blue came along, and NOW the A.S. Ore) this is just robbery in the simplest form. How does taking the credits from a NEW player help them get the equipment they need to survive in this unbalanced game? We already know they can not CRAFT (assuming they are strong enough to kill for the materials needed) what they need as they are not there to be crafted.

This system needs to be tweaked for player level and equipment owned/needed to make it worthwhile. A player who can not equip a Leonov is not interested in crafting a Surgeon Design but would be more interested in a BO-2 or maybe 7900 speed generator or even a LF-3 let alone a LF-4, but none of these were seen in the launch.

 

i agree, there is nowt worth crafting for a new player, the surgeon and pusat are well out of reach for most pilots and the 200 UCB is a joke to be fair, u should be able to craft lf2s lf3s drones apis zues jump chips drone forms etc. there are not enough things to make and tbh its all really boring after a bit and not the event bp promised, another epic fail bp, its a joke. i really hope u dont release EIC without properly testing it and the way it behaves with the game as it is now. Failure would be the final nail in the coffin.

You realize that this is the launch event, they said they will be adding actual stuff like that when the assembly is part of the game? This is only an event to test it, when event is over they will add useful things.



I suggest you read this announcement, particularly the bottom 2 paragraphs.

 

well this "event test" sucks badly hence why no body is happy there was no "what would you as player like to see"

so bp change the recipes every few weeks ..LMAO.. imagine the lag..nowt will work we will all quit before that..they have proved beyond all reasonable doubt that they care not one jot for the player base they just design stuff and let it out without properly testing it.. lol.. i cant wait to see the next installment ha bloody ha

 

Some feedback from BP / DO about WHEN they WILL put the materials in shop... now into last week of event ( which was extended due to the mash up at the beginning).
The drop rates have not improved... just how long are they planning on dragging this out ?
If drop rates do not improve then yes.. this ASSembly system is useless and a waste of time..
You will never achieve the designs like surgeon/ pusat in time frame given.. mainly Plasmide... too many booty and NOTHING being dropped.
Adding the red & blue booty in drops has just made it even harder... well done for that .. that was a great idea.

I've been collecting everyday since event started.. done over 1000 sibelon from mission I have and more than double that in Devo's and only got 320 plasmide... I now need to collect over 50 plasmide a day until event ends to complete required amount... I've been lucky to collect half that a day playing 6+ hours a day.
And NO other option as they refuse to put it in shop as they stated they would before event started.

I have collected over 250k uri popping npcs for this event.. so it's not like I haven't been doing the kills.. they just will not give the materials in the drops.

 

Yep all being said the drop rates are bad for the two main Items ( the designs ), but it brought me back from just doing the daily and transferring sep and prom to actually playing.

I needed a pet and it was within reach and i got one. If DO uses this system right it could be a game changer for many. Let's say they put in an LF4 as reward. Then see the blood splattered screens!

If they were to put that in, I would go find a map to Transfer, Sale and Log in. The daily's would just put you in harms way as the carnage stacks up. Some players have managed to craft the designs.

But still no materials for crafting in shop... are they ever going to put them in ?

 

Yes, it is good to see that something started without a hitch. Expect the original stuff to be gone next Monday. I think the Dev's are still holding out for the collection information but in true style may put them in next weekend just in time for the event to be over.
