[TI] Noob Protection not wroking on level 5 ship

    I thought there was noob protection untill a new player reaches a certain level my new ship level 5 I am being shot down even if I dont shoot enemy.
     
  2. I just checked the subject in the Dark Orbit Bible and it does not say when the protection goes away. It could be you have already reached the threshold.. :(
     
  3. I do believe the protection goes away once you complete all the entry quests, voiding the level count.
     
  4. Yes while you are doing the "Starter Quests" you have protection in x-2 and x-3 against being attacked. At the completion of these quests the protection ends and is only valid in x-1 which is in place for all players as long as they do not attack any enemy in the map.

    It is just shameful that a supposed hunter would shoot a lv. 5 player. There goes another new player and DO put in some real hard work on those missions. And then they wonder why player retention is so low. I just hope that the hunters:rolleyes: have payed bigg money so when this little space game can't support itself their vanity and their money will be a thing of the past.

    Quit shooting new pilots! You fools!

  6. They should really make that plain. A lot of new players don't start missions for days, just come in and start shooting. The bad thing is they will shoot anything and anyone. Also, noob missions allowing for the protections need to say they are such. It don't take long to work through them as long as you don't get crazy. But I agree, its easy to tell a new player, especially if you have drones and names showing. People should stop shooting these players and let them get their feet wet.
     
  7. All that a person needs to do is look at the Company Rank Insignia if anything less than a FULL Chevron they do not get attacked, in the lowers. But then you have to rely on the fact that the player that is HUNTING the Lowers has some Morales to begin with and cares about the survival of the game. I do not see why D O could not put in a LEVEL protection preventing people attacking low level players, say level 12 and below can not be attacked by anyone higher than level 16 in the "Lower Home Maps", thus keeping the UFE Bullies in the Upper or Battle maps to do their Hunting.

    Issue here is that not all wallets are doing the Newb Hunting and even they have been leaving the game as they have found the expense exceeds the enjoyment value for their dollar. The inclusion of the LF-4 and Upgrade system pushed a lot of Veteran Wallets out of the game as they enjoyed their level of paying as a FE+ Pilot and were never into Farming G G's to gain their Rank but did it by fighting in the maps (and yes they occasionally were whipped), but when they found out how elusive the LF-4's were and how much MORE MONEY they were going to have to invest to regain their status the decided to leave the game instead. The only real players that are left are in 2 major groups, the Gate Farmers spending all of their money doing Gates and using all of their ammo killing newbs, and the loyalists who whether they spend on the game or not want to try to keep it alive and increase their strength while hoping to not get popped to a point they have to quit the game.

    But as the attitude of the UFE is we are GOD and can kill anyone we want (MCC's mainly) the game is doomed to a slow drawn out death, unless D O decides to implement some sort of protections against this attitude (very soon) the numbers will continue to drop and the revenues will dwindle to a trickle of Doubler, Rebate, Premium, and HH Uridium purchases and all of these Vanity Designs will just sit in the wings collecting dust as they are either owned by the ones wanting them or too expensive for the F2P to even think about getting them (even the A.S. has the expense too high). But continued Updates like the A.S. Launch has taken its toll on players leaving the game also, if the game is unplayable (as currently seen) the players will find something else to do, 45 minutes of playing and I am lagging to a point of freezing again, the Event Missions, though not HARD, are almost impossible to do as there are not enough NPC's in the maps to accomplish the quests and only being allowed to have one open at a time forces you to hope you are not fighting over the same NPC.
