[UI] New map in the game: a game changer for FE players?

Since the new pirate maps were introduced to us a long time ago, we have been wondering if there are new maps coming through developer's thoughts of adding it up in the game, thinking of an idea what should be the main reason why they have to put a new map and what kind of map is it, and its functionality to the game is a great task to deal with and is a challenging one, so to speak.

    That is why forums are here for them to get some wonderful ideas from us forum members and players.

    A new map? well, the map should function similar to the pirate maps that has its own missions, a part in the darkorbit story, a reason why FE players would want to venture through that unknown place: to farm uridium that cannot even compare to farming kristallons for uridium!

    ofcourse new map means there should be aliens in it, i was thinking of adding up the zeta galaxy gate's aliens in it? they give a bountiful of uridium for their exact toughness as the aliens in normal maps, rather they also give seproms on their cargo, a precious resource for players to upgrade their rockets, shields and laser weapons to give a massive damage boost to their arsenals.

    what should be the numbering of these new maps?

    maybe we can number them similar to the pirate maps? 6-1 6-2 6-3.

    level restriction?
    players should be atleast level 18 to go here, the portals are not located in 4-5 but rather located in x-6 maps (bottom left corner for vru, top left for mmo, bottom right for eic)
    they can only jump to 6-x map via their own company portal, trying to jump on an enemy map portal will rather
    the difference here is, 6-1 map is for mmo, 6-2 is for eic, 6-3 is for vru, enemy players cannot reach to another rival company's map so that farming of noobs by UFE's wont be possible, giving them a great advantage.

    and why level 18? its because if it was atleast level 16, the x-5 x-6 x-7 maps would be empty at the time when players reach that level, its much easier if they were atleast 18 so that they will have to work their way to reach that map.

    clan wars will still occur in those particular maps and hostility towards their same company players will still happen.

    Mines cannot be placed on that map, cloaks wont work and there will be no maze but there will be a small company base in the middle of the map.

    all aliens are hostile in these maps, they will shoot and follow you.

    missions?
    the missions are simple:
    kill a variety of aliens, a time limit to do it, damage a certain enemy, damage a certain enemy without killing it or without using a specific kind of ammo, and staying in that map in a duration without being damaged.

    before you can enter this map, a certain mission must be done:
    if they will put the aliens from the zeta gate to the new maps, they have to kill certain aliens that can be seen in the zeta gate, like at least 2 devourers, some numbers of melters, scorchers and the small aliens that i forgot the name.
    if not, then they have to think of a mission for the FE players to do before they can enter the gate and go to the map.

    if they were to add up the aliens from the zeta gate to this new map then it would be a great farming site for FE players.
    if not, then new types of aliens should be created before having thoughts of these maps.

  2. The idea is nice but I see more UFE exploiting the NPC's and preventing the FE from benefiting from the maps at all. Also creating a PvE only map for level 18 and higher is not going to have too many people using these maps as most of the quests at this level are either PvP or Uber quests and even though you are creating NEW quests for these maps do not see people using them for anything other than the quests or for making excuses to create wars while farming in the maps.

    Since using Gate NPC's why not make the entry portal accessible from completing a specific gate (Zeta or Kappa they both have these NPC's in them) or create another map with Epsilon NPC's, and another with the Streuners from Kuiper. These maps could be used as practice against the NPC's found in the gates (especially if you had difficulty completing the gate the first time through it).

    I think I could support adding the maps as PvE ONLY but have them all Company maps and each Portal opens another gate map (under the principles you have to complete the gate to access them) 6-1 could be for Epsilon, 6-2 could be for Zeta, 6-3 for Kappa, and 6-4 could be for Kuiper. Each map would have 4 portals in it one to return to x-6 map and the others to access the other maps you have available Gates completed making the portals visible in each map. Entry will place you in lowest map you have available if you have not done Epsilon then Zeta or Kappa or Kuiper just depending on which gate(s) you have completed. Aliens are aggressive but they act like the aliens in 4-5 as opposed to in the G G's so one person does not have all of the NPC's attacking them from all corners of the map but within a range of them.

    very good points, and interesting ideas. maybe make it so theyre all company maps like you said, and to enforce the PvE other player names should all be blue with the company emblem not even next to the name.

    im thinking since kappa NPCs are just parts of other gate npcs it could be zeta, kuiper, and epsilon npcs, each gate to them in the center of 4-5 like the company maps are in the center of 4-4. but unlike pirate maps make it so you can jump in them, if unlocked the way you mention. maybe make it so each map has 2 past it? so 9 maps in total. do little npcs in first map going up in difficulty as the gates do..
    maybe even a 10th ultimate map that includes the emperors from hades?
