[SC] Before spending real money, read my opnion

I bought the daredevil starter pack, the 24.99 dollar one and enjoyed the game for the first 4-5 days. I am now level 12 and finding that a lot of missions will require you to kill other players and I am finding this VERY VERY difficult!!! Other players are few and far between and most like 95% of them are super strong and can kill me in 3-4 seconds. I regret spending money on this game and hope other new players will read this and not make the same mistake. Play this game if you want as I did find it fun for a little but unless you want to spend a lot of money, my advise is do not spend any at all.

 

Well you could of bid on goli and other ships easy , work with people in a group in the uppers to build credits to bid on lf3s, then iris , get prem instead of getting 24$ pack when you could of spend only about 6$. You just have to take some time instead of spending .

 

Just do the NPCs quests and wait for (SB) SpaceBall - plenty of ships for the

TDM and SC are poor

 

Very little has been changed to accommodate and encourage new players to continue playing DO. In the past, players were plentiful and finding people your level to partner up with or kill (if need be) was easy. This kept newbies coming back, myself included. These days, the servers are literally dead. You can fly around US West for an hour before you see any other ship in the maps.

The players saw this abandonment of the game coming a long time ago with uneven playing fields (newer players being slaughtered daily), outright cheating (which ran rampant for a long time), bullying/harassment of players and the cost of playing reaching astronomical heights. And its been 7+ months since the dev team has posted anything new in forums....

To the OP... sorry for your quick exit of the game - I don't blame you at all.

It's not about spending money, it's about how you do it. If you really want to invest in this game, then you should know the steps that you have to follow in order to be very efficient. Well, that's awkward(how is a new player supposed to know what and when to buy?)... and, yea. Maybe a guide for something like that would be good. My advice for new players is not "don't spend money". It's: learn the game(basics), ask other people how you should do it(someone has to answer eventually...) and when you feel you are ready to do it(knowing that you enjoy the game and won't leave right after), just do it

 

My advice for beginners: Do the beginner quests which reward you with LF3, B02 and Speed Generators. Then

The biggest thing to remember is that most of the sales D O puts out are really not sales at all. They are ways for D O to collect extra cash from you making you think you are getting a great deal. IF you are going to spend money on this game you want to buy the advantage packs (Rebate{when you plan on spending Uridium}, Doubler, and Premium) and Uridium (on Mega Happy Hour or Helix Blitz) and then purchase the items in Shop when they put the "%" on the items you want. The Premium is best on the Annual ($5 instead of $6.49 a month but requires payment at one time), Rebate buy when you are spending Uridium (Upgrade Bonus Hour, Galaxy gate Materializer, PET gears or upgrades) but a weekly bought when you plan to spend a lot is better than the 8 weeks unless you are buying Uridium every week because you are going through it that quickly, the Bonus Box Doubler is the only one I would buy on the 8 week package (assuming you are active in the game and plan to be during that time). Also would recommend using a Gift Card for purchases so you don't have to worry about canceling the subscription if you did not want to renew it and they can be reloaded online usually, you also don't get hit for foreign transaction fees this way.

 

The weekly Rebate is a tricky source of income. It will punish every lazy player who forget to cancel the Rebate.

Or all these offers scare all beginners off who are thinking about banking effectively. They will see the illogic and doubt about the seriousness of D O

 

First thing is are u more into pve or pvp this matters bc some servers are less populated making it pve.
