[SC] Dear Support, this is great and all but I want my design...

I recently received a duplicate centaur from special gg rewards, yet the only design I didn't have was Surgeon. I was guaranteed a Surgeon, but did not get one. I asked support to give me a Surgeon, and all they said is this:

and closed the ticket. So ... can I have my Surgeon? I mean ... you can check that I have all the designs. I don't believe that after the "developers" fix this, I will get my design.

Just because you have one ship doesn't mean you will get the other guaranteed. This has been an issue for a while so until they fix it when you receive the same design they will give 10k uri instead. Enjoy

 

Didn't even get 10k uri.

They should warn if this is the case. Since there is no warning and I wasted my uri on the gate, they should give me the design.

Either way, if they let me go in there for a day I could fix this issue. It doesn't even look that hard to fix, and having 14 years experience in programming w/ C++ in games like Battlefield, I believe they should really pay their developers more to fix things like this...

 

There is no guarantee that you will receive a Design you do not already have and the fact that they have had an issue with the game assigning designs/ships already owned they have decided to compensate the Booty Chest assigned ones. There have been some that have seen these Special Gate Reward assignments paid also but as they say a second will not be issued does not say you will get one of and if you already own it another will be assigned. If you have people showing they have been compensated (same day) for receiving the 10K Uridium then report this to Support as you should receive the compensation otherwise the award of a Surgeon is just a matter of luck.

 

you wont see 10k uri on its own you will see it added to the end gate reward like kuiper u would get 25k instead of 15k delta would be 55k not 45k

it may be easy to fix but its down to anything els been effected and with all the code finding the prob may be harder then it looks

 

There are easy ways to debug code. In a separate build to the official release, the developers could make the game tell them which part of the code it is executing, making it easy to find the error. It really is not hard ... espceially for 10s of developers working on a single issue.

And if they don't warn us then ... I want my design.

There's nothing else they can do at the moment. If it were one person affected maybe it would be one thing, but it's not just on person. There are who knows how many people got a duplicate design out of the goliath surprise pack (yes, despite it saying explicitly that you won't), and if any further action is going to be taken on these it's going to come from the dev team. Whether they handle it with a system booking or get someone to do it manually - until there's more information there's nothing more support can do on these expect pass the information on.

it happened to me today i dont want the 10 k uri i spent lots of money to get the surgeon from gates to only get every other ship some twice but no sergeon

 

Maybe wait to do the gates then until you are sure the bug has been fixed that way you will not be disappointed again.

 

The Surgeon is a RARE design and is seldom given as a reward. It is being listed to motivate people to run the gates that get that package and few get the actual reward they want. If you do not like what you are getting then don't run those gates assigned with this Special Reward. No one is forcing you to spend this money on the game. If the Surgeon is all you are interested in then when they have the Bonus Reward for Uridium purchase buy your Uridium (MHH allows the award also) and get the design FREE.

 

Got the Surgeon (looks like a VRU ship - I am not VRU...MMO colors - lol) from doing Epsilon GG in my G-Champion - USA USA - DESIGN...gonna skin somewhere. Funny could not do the transfer in the hanger. Staying in the Confederate ship for now.

I have also had the same problem, i received the Vanquisher 3 times when i have all designs except Surgeon. i only did the gates based of the official statement that you will not receive a duplicate design. So i feel completely feel screwed over by Darkorbit and Bigpoint when i spent 5k ee and over 200k uri on doing many gates. I'm hoping people realise the gravity of the situation and how much ire this bug is causing and the people affected get adequate compensation. I also urge everyone to try and bring light and attention to this unacceptable bug...

 

They do not say you will get a design they say you will not get a duplicate. The bug and the method of D O taking care of it while they work on more important ones seems to be adequate to me, you are getting rewarded for something you should not be getting anyway.

You should be happy to get the 10K additional reward (for the assigned duplicate design) instead of sitting here complaining you have not received a Surgeon Design Ship. They have never said that you would get ALL Designs offered, they have just said it would not assign duplicate Ships/Designs. No one complained about the Kuiper Gate bug that paid the 200K every time you completed the gate since they did not have the line, in code, specifying you had to be awarded the design AND OWN it for the reward to be given, instead it looked to see if you owned the Designs offered and paid the 200K when in actuality you were not awarded the design for completing the gate.
