[SC] Formations

Hello, what formation should i buy next? I already have hearth and moth

 

ring / drill

 

depends wat u do game wise if u grind bks then maybe diamond otherwise wat Sauron says

 

diamond is really good if u are FE player and want to do bks
drill is great if for gates and all the other things
ring is good for cubes

 

Diamond is the best for me. With it I can kill PVE all night and not go to port that often.

 

Ring would be next on my list then drill and lastly wheel. Wheel is a good one for escaping nmes.

 

i bought drill and its really good, i think ring will be my next formation

 

Best formations are Ring (for running), Drill (for kiting and killing) and Diamond (for tanking and killing). You can waive the rest.

 

I have never used Drill formation, so I am curious how good is this formation in gates compared to Moth formation?

 

I can't even describe how much more better it is than moth.

 

I use moth on all gates, never tried drill on gates yet

 

Even if you don't do insane damage? Let's say FE ship?

Drill gives you 20% more damage. It is easy to calculate. I am not UFE and I do much more damage with drill.

 

Of course, but Moth penetrates the HP of the NPC. I have not clue if it is better to penetrate them with the damage, or shoot them with Drill's boost

 

With Drill you still have your shields up and with Moth you pretty much are losing your shields and just have HP.

 

Honestly, for me was never a problem to do gates with no shield and Moth formation. But that was ages before the Drill. Drill's boost seem nice and useful when flying on maps too (not just in gates).
