[UI] Rank system

Hello.

Let's fix ranking system? I have no chance to rank up, when rich people spin gates and basically buy themselves a ship that has million hp shield or insane firepower. my mediocre goli with 8 irises has no chance. Since most people have left the game due to these updates that ruined the game, perhaps we could make things a bit better? for example making alien kills more rewarding. i doubt i would be able to kill anyone with my ship and i don't want to kill complete noobs and drive them away as well. in short im trying to say: i cant compete with paying players when it comes to ranks. I'm not going to spend anymore uridium on gates or whatever, I stopped doing that long time ago. I tried to spin the gates, but even then the next rank just keeps racing away. Even when i play for hours a day, do gates and hunt. I mean it's just weird: I have played for years, I think having a 1 bil experience and millions of honor should place me higher than just lieutenant. Galaxy gates are way too rewarding too. everything favors paying players.

 

You can be successful and a free player, it just takes more time and effort. Yes the ranking system has gone crazy over the last few years, there has been other posts asking for change. I am not sure if they will look into it, maybe you could ask them on their next twitch feed.

 

If i had a higher rank, what I would do, would be to spin a gate every day or more to maintain rank or go up. maybe even run more gates. you can make hundreds of thousands of honor every day and in a short time. you cant beat that without gates. you never catch anyone if you don't run gates as them. I'd have to sit behind screen killing everything all day, but sorry i don't hate life. and i like my money.

 

Twitch is garbage. They have yet to put out anything useful since starting it. Well except when they brought in the new transfer coder, he said a lot and you could tell it really erked the game designer. Also, what has happened to the producer? 3 feeds and he has been gone.

Anyways, the OP has already said what needs be done to advance in rank. Gates... Some players just pally/box for a few hours each day and then spin gates. If rank is what you are after, the gates is really your only recourse. Of course it may still take a while since some players do like 5-10 a day.

 

Regarding twitch I can understand why some people think its garbage. However you can tell more from what they don't say rather than what they do.

If you make a boxing bio and partake in spaceball, crazy cubes and box every now and then, you can start making uri and free spins easy enough. That way you can start to open gates for free and make a profit. I am not sure if you are completely a free player but having rebate and prem can help alot when using uri to open gates. You would be able to open Alpha x2, Beta x2 and a Gamma.

If you are a free player it will just take a little while longer to open gates but it is still possible to gain rank over time.

After a while you can start making a uri profit and also gain the Honor and exp rewards from these gates. Or open Zetas with the free spins you can get from the above events and boxing depending if you need havocs or not, but you do get a good amount of booty keys and log discs.

 

Bring back Basic Space Pilot ranking(s) count. That alone would be easy for DO

Free vs. Prem + rebate is 30% harder to easier
