  1. UFE players are becoming more and more aggressive over lesser players.
How come DarkOrbit is still allowing this to happen?
Clan's fighting over who get's the cube map and ignoring alliance if non UFE goes to solo cubes.

New Players leave only cause of this abuse.
It is not hard to progress in DO, but UFE player's make it impossible.

    DarkOrbit in a nutshell.

  3. Since when is attacking a player abuse? A fundamental principle of this game has always been that power struggle between players over resources in the galaxy. My 2 problems with this post....
1st of all players today have no map awareness and have no fear running around all over the maps. Back in the day before there were battle stations positioned in the middle of the map as a safety zone, and all of the secondary shields and invulnerabilities you have today; you actually were scared to venture out in the map alone to kill BK's and farm the maps. If you did, you dragged it back to a position of safety so you didnt get picked off let alone solo'ing the cubes in the corners farthest away from the ports! We used to have to go out into the maps 3 or 4 ships outfit strong.
2nd... I think DO is partially to blame in that there is no balance in the game anymore. The addition of SO many different formations, designs, special weapons, and abilities has made the game fighting system too complex and very unplayable. There used to be a single hot key bar...and now it has progressed to 3!!!. To many combos, buttons to press, and too many things for newer players to acquire through playing without dropping a fortune in cash. It used to be get your clan together each in his own favorite ship, guns and shields and configure them according to your play style (battle/speed) (suicide/speed) (split drones), and go out there in force and battle it out against other clans and take over the maps! I miss those days!!!

  4. Agreed.
Not agreed. IMO D O is one of the easiest MMO games. Only the stat gap between Ufe and Fe is too big.
One week test server and everyone could be a Darkorbit mechanic pro. The only difficult important thing here is the reaction time in unexpected situations (while farming NPCs). And handling your amount of resources (EMP, ammo...).
A game should be created in case that the most asocial player can not destroying the fun of the others. In most balanced games only the chat is a way to make someone sad (flaming). The other option is killing the game play (AFK, feeding...), which are punished. Is something too over powered which is why nobody want to face it, the devs will nerf it. Unfortunately D O is an exception.

  5. I play LOL when im bored with DO and there are only 4 ability buttons plus 2 summ spell buttons and occasionally and active item ability or 2 and thats it! Skill and experience is the deciding factor alone in that game. IMO much less to press, but requiring MUCH more in the way of playing mechanics then DO. BTW LOL is one of the most popular games currently in the entire world !!

  6. I used to be a lil phoenix - and tried to pop streuners in 3-1 - all the time this big squared 'x' appeared and popped me ( was Dino b4 he came vru ) was scary - I percevered 2008
noobs these days have problems - but have so many more answers
1 - ure not fe until ur fe = don't pretend
2 - if ur making a cake - don't pour the icing first
    3 - imagine

  7. In a nutshell, UFE pick on new players because they are bored. There are times all you see in chat is "ok you and me 1V1." But when that is not happening, its a "slaughter the new guy time." Times have changed. A lot of players have moved on, pretty much in life. Once apon a time, bases were a major thing but with time changes, player attitudes have also. Some clans/players have started on other servers for variety or a change in scenery. Others have left to spend more time with family and loved ones. What is left in the maps is a huge case of boredom and "Well I guess I will just go pick on that pilot." Old game enemies were pretty good friends, and now they have gone their separate ways. Dark Orbit is now paying attention to it since there is a constant money flow coming in. And as long as the chat stays pretty clean, there is nothing for the mods to do either. Just my 3 cents.

Once you're at the end of the missions list, you're stuck with missions killing hundreds of enemy ships. 750 goli, 500 vengeance, 150 aegis, etc, etc.
I'm not going to go after the generals to get the kills.
On the other hand, I'm also letting the obvious newbies fly off.
Why is it you see so many more players during events?
Because it's the only time that the game is still somewhat interesting.

cubs is the top alyes in the game and give the bigest price (ex. events ufe), dont pretend for this map before to be elite

  10. The wide gap from UFE and noob drove a lot of players out of the game. Too far of a climb unless you grind endlessly or spend seriously or a combination. Other, better games out there. DO clings to the mantra of steepening the climb only to placate their money players so there is one more gizmo they buy. It keeps the lights on.

Expect to get killed a lot in this game if you are noob. Accept your fate. I got killed a lot then learned how to stay out of trouble and that skill evolves all the time. Always a new wrinkle to factor. Getting killed means nothing really, just think of the joy you gave some sociopath with a credit card in his Tartarus.

  11. Stop whining. I first started to play this game in 2010. Back then there were groups of enemies waiting in your x-1 to kill you. Back then there was no protecting in your home map. Anyway I quit do in 2012 and started again 1.5 years ago. My experience from 2010 to 2015 - 2016 is that the game is much easier for new players now than it was back then. Yet people somehow seem to think this is something new.

  12. Situational awareness on the game goes a long way. X-1 protection helps noobs to a point but you still have to stick your head out of that map at some point. On my server, the big clans would often patrol lowers looking for enemies and rally to drive off hunting groups. That was a longggg time ago. Haven't seen that kind of commitment in forever. Game changed as the demographic changed. Bio started the descent into crapville. Hasn't been the same since.

And I still kill newbs and I'm sure a lot of the guys that say they don't are actually doing it.
Now for the ones who are familiar to LoL... isn't killing newbs in DO exactly the same thing as stomping your opponent in lane if you counter him or if he's less skilled than you and then just grab the victory(he may feel bad for himself, for the team... will you let that victory go away just because you went 20/0 without any effort?)? Isn't it the same thing as smurfing in there? Talking about balance in games is as hard as establishing it in the real world... it'll never exist just because people have different perceptions.
As someone already said... back in the history of this game you were hardworking for a ship like nostromo or bigboy and then being popped by the basic FE just to go back to the defcom or yamato if you didn't have enough credits to buy a new one?
I don't understand how hypocrites can some be by just comparing the "old" game to the "new" one and pretending that things were better... maybe they were a bit different. People also changed. The atmosphere is not the same.

  14. No, it isn't. In LoL it's dependent on your experience, each time a new game begin all players restarts again. In D O you can have a massive time bonus if you start some years ago. More experience is acceptable in contrast of better equipment.

But reaching FE is much easier in the past than reaching Ufe now. The Credits from the Skylab were much more valuable than nowadays, the auction was the second fighting place.

  15. TBH DO know all about the abuse that goes on in the game. But at the moment can't really do anything about it. They
don't want to upset the people who keep the the game going. I believe they are working on getting these issues resolved
but its gonna take a little time. If history has shown us anything DO will not rush anything out that will drasticly change
the game. Moving forward everything will be in steps. It will be sometime next year before they will have something in
regards to Bullying, Newb Protection or Server Populations. If you like the game push through it find a way to get stronger.
If you cant wait for them to get it together save yourself some headaches move on to another game.

I'm aware of the fact that the game restarts, I know is not that good of a comparison(at least the first one). But continuing to what has already been said and because I'm only into LoL besides DO... balance isn't there as it isn't here... maybe in some different way. You won't find the perfectly balanced game and I already said why. Maybe I perceive the balance and the "perfection" and the beauty of the game in other way than you or x or y or z persons. And you all have your own perceptions.
Some spend, some don't. Some like killing npcs, some like pvping. Some like collecting boxes/palladium. Some like all those things or just a combination of them. You can't take all that people and consider that they are the same, they're not, they won't be.

Right now I am clanless, because some clans on the server decide its cool to get all UFE ships in diff companies and just war everybody. They dont care who they kill, they even go on their own company as long as it has red tags.

Yesterday one of those ships was flying over the map. I was helping a friend that just got back into the game and he was also clanless in leonov. I was boosting him and letting him join my cubes and shooting bks for him for credits so he can bid on stuff to get even to basic FE. That particular UFE player that was shooting everybody around us with clan tags than suddenly decided that its cool to open up with RSB on my friend in the leonov. He literally shot him down with 1 combo (doing 78k dmg with rsb when leonov has only 60k hp in uppers) AND THE GUY HE SHOT WAS IN HIS OWN COMPANY.

So yea, UFE abuse is real and I believe dark orbit should make a major change to reduce that kind of abuse. You cant have 1 clan declare wars on the top50 other clans and get away with it. That thing should be limited! And also the penalties of shooting down your own company MUST be bigger! -100 rank points is a joke for UFE players, they can pop 1 noob every day. But if you take 20% off their damage for 24 hours they will think twice before doing that. Just saying

Popping people is part of the game, unfortunately there are quite a lot of cheaters on it including those who buy accounts that act big (not naming names but they know who they are). Just ignore them and report any significant abuse, some can result in a ban. I've had quite a lot of abuse in the past but most of the time I ignore it, or report them resulting in them getting account suspension which has happened a lot to me (not the account suspension but getting people suspended).

Don't be too afraid to grass people up, if they break the chat rules they deserve a ban! You should look up the chat rules. Just thought I'd give some friendly advice.

Anyways back on the actual topic: Getting popped is part of the game. Usually on GB2 there are good reasons for wars, so the best thing to do is to basically not be in a clan since the clan tax payment got nerfed (stupid idea). Don't bother making your own clan yet, you need to fend for yourself first to get stronger. Try going for NPC hit power first, as you can then kill them faster which means more credits uridium etc...

I can partly understand why a clan with pretty OP accounts would declare war on other OP clans in their company if things are quiet, but I see no fun in bullying noobs (ignore my name XD) unless they give me a very good reason for war. Just remember if they send your clan war there could be a reason besides bullying you, as there are probably more people in your clan so one of them could have caused the problem.

Well I know what I am talking about. It's GB1 I play on. Before I leave my clan I asked one of the players in that clan that has only UFE players in all companies and have sent wars to every clan they see on the map. The reply I got was 'We are the 4th company, we have wars with all'

What I've seen them do is fly over the maps with all diff companies in a party and clear them. Even if you are clanless and the person in that clan doesnt want to lose honor he just calls a mate from a diff company and lets him shoot you first than he joins.

  20. Play BSG or get rid of the MCCs. The MMCs don't protect because they go into enemy territory and repay the favor by outing another of their own clanless Co. members in all three Co. maps.
