[TI] Laser damage

    Hello,

    First i am glad formation and speed bugs are fixed but Guess what now our laser damage is messed up.Why it has to be always like that ..fix 1 thing and break another.

    As per calculations :
    Hunter skill maxed+Seprom+double damage boost+Fully upgraded 35 lf4s+ Havoc+Ship design+fully leveled up drones= 609 per laser
    Now 35 x 609=almost 22k damage with x1
    Not to mention the fact that i am using drill formation.

    I am hitting 9 k with x1 ..i checked and re-installed all equipment still same issue.
    This issue started happening after server reset. I would like to hear from MOD or Admin.

    Another update ( I AM REALLY GOING NUTS)

    So i switched design..guess what i hit 23 k with x1 using ring formation but if i switch to drill or any other formation I start hitting 10-15 k with x1..switch back to ring formation i hit 9k..
    Nothing is making sense..
     
  3. your maths is a little out as not all 35 lasers do the same dmg as havoc and drones/levels hit harder then lasers on ship

    Protocol,

    I added up everything which is on my ship on 1 configuration. I know there is little variances are there as every shot doesn't 100% damage it suppose to do.

    Well now i found out another issue. After poping around 10 cubes my drones are not leveling up. They are stuck at 5.8.

    Seriously i would like some admin to answer my query here
     

  8. Although several players, including my self, suggested many times to remove everything from the ship and re-equip as a fix for such issues [something u've already done], I've started to doubt whether it's 100% effective.

    I've noticed there isn't much difference in damage when hitting a cube with the eco rockets and the hellstorm [25 uri]. At times in GG switching from X3 to X2 doesn't really show very much reduced dmg, or switching from X2 to X3 doesn't show the considerably higher damage.

    The UBR100, although should inflict the same damage to players as the hellstorm [25 uri] seem to cause more damage. There is a relevant thread that I've posted regarding this issue.

    I'm not sure whether the Pilot Bio takes the effect it should and I don't know whether a reset would help to make sure it applies but that would be insane to do as it takes ages for SL to build the seprom the skills need.

    I'm not sure whether the boosters have the effect they should, I always use dmg/shields/hp double boost, I have the feeling something's not right there too.

    I'm glad someone posted this issue and looking forward to official reply here at the forum. I doubt sending a ticket to the support will get a solid reply because I can hardly imagine anyone testing my account whether all items/gear that I'm using apply and give the effect they should.

    Thanks for your response..i use to shoot 22k with x1 (without drill ) tested many time without rockets or pet. Other player who had similar issue said support just give standard answer that whole equipment inventory is accounted for. Anyway i will wait for official response or see if after sever reset it goes back to normal. Thanks again
     

  10. No reason to doubt what other players said regarding what the Support's reply would be, hence I've said no one from the Support will test an account although they should. After reading your post I disabled the rockets and rocket launcher to do a dmg test. It was quite late to my server and the only thing I could test on was BKs. At the moment I was on 27 lf4 lvl 16, double boost on damage and all drones [10] with Havoc design. X1 was hitting 9,5k to 11k, X2 19k to 21k [perhaps 22k] the X3 was around 30k and X4 around 40k, RSB 55k to 60k.

    Assuming the math for 607 dmg points per lazer [give or take although my electro is maxed plus I use precision targeter and I shouldn't have "miss" shots] that would mean 27x607 = 16,839. I also assume that dmg should be without a ship design that adds 10% dmg bonus ?

    To my test I used spectrum design which I was on, the values I've listed here should [?] be higher if I were to use any 5% additional dmg design, higher with Surgeon and perhaps 1 of the designs with 7% which I havent used almost at all.

    Although I'm not very active at the forum and perhaps I should be, I'm monitoring this thread.

    maxim dmg with x4 is 220k :) , try it the dmg

  13. Guys maybe stay in the topic. Op math here is wrong but I have also noticed weird damage. With drill I should do 90k hit with x4, but I sometimes do just 70k as max dmg, 50 - 70k. Then I change from drill to grab that gives no damage bonus and I do more dmg than with drill. But a bit later my drill works again and I do the usual 90k hit. Something is really messed up here. I just don't know what or how to produce it.
