[GI] Multi-Booster

I just completed a Kappa gate on double rewards day. It only credited me with a single multi-booster. Shouldn't I have received 2 multi-boosters so I should get 10 hrs of boost?

Following is info i got from KAPPA FAQs

Chance to win one of the following items:• the new Hercules Drone design! • the new Multi Booster! For 5 hours of gameplay, the Multi Bonus gives you an additional 5% on all inflicted damage, on your XP and your shields, and are added on top of the other boosters you're using.

It doesnt say anything about getting 1 booster.

 

You forgot that there's a chance to win a LF4 laser. Also, crazytoon yeah you are right that there's a chance to win those others as well, but if Dr.T would have gotten e.g. Hercules, he would have got 2 Hercules because it's Double GG. So he indeed should have ended up with 10 hours of Multi-Booster.

Dr.T go to Shop -> Boosters and I think you should be able to see the Multi-Booster there, so see if it's indeed 5 hours or 10 hours.

 

Actually the multi boosters don't show up in the shop (probably because you can never buy them). I looked before I posted. However, I have received 2 hercs or 2 LF4s in the past on event days like this and it always states that in the logbook and on screen. However with the multi booster it only said "Multibooster (5 hours) received"

 

I'm very familiar with how the kappa gate works as I've also done 37 kappa gates. The point is I DID get a multibooster. I did not get 2x the rewards like the event promises... I have received 2x hercs before and 2x lf4s. I did not get 2x1 multi booster.

 

Well i checked with other players, as per them, Booster are not doubled. There was abuse of double muti boosters so DEVs removed tht as reward.

 

I think players should read more forums cause again multiple post's about the same thing. As i posted on the other one, I have gotten kappa booster many times during double gate rewards and i also watched the time i played after it said 5 hour booster but i am sure if you keep track of the time you will see you are getting 10 hour booster. I know it says 5 but before you assume you only get 5 hours keep track of the time yourself and see how many hours you get. And if i am wrong let me know but am pretty sure i am right.

 

These boosters do not have any record of keeping track of what you have left and thus makes it hard to keep track of them. This applies to the 50% EP and Honor boosters from Uridium purchases also. I don't see how you could abuse a booster that is awarded from a gate, if it could be exploited it would not need to be done by doing the special rewards weekend but would be a direct method of manipulating the information after it was awarded. Like .†ι¢є_gяιмσιяє†. says keep track of how long you play and when the boost runs out to really verify if it gave you double or single, since this only runs while in the client it should be easy to see how long it actually runs.

 

In case anyone wants to know, support got back to me with the response that according to this thread, http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/board/threads/galaxy-gate-double-rewards-days.113938/, multi boosters are NOT doubled. Personally I think that is absolutely stupid but support has spoken.
