  1. Hey guys,

It has come to my attention that as we further and further advance into the future of darkorbit, that it becomes a timing and costly commitment which users of the game struggle to keep up with. Although we have seen the introduction of sales which give a set % of an item discounted, the challenge arises in the struggle to gain uridium from farming, whether it be boxes or aliens. The harsh reality is, that killing Cubikons are the best way and arguably the ONLY way to make enough uridium to even consider it to be 'worth it'. Furthermore, I recognize that it is 'easier' to make uridium the more you advance in the game, but even cubing can have its limitations especially when you are on a popular server like Global America 1, where you may only get 200~ uridium per Cubikon due to everybody shooting it. The pragmatic approach which should be considered by Bigpoint, should be to introduce advantages such as increased rewards by 1.5x for every alien, or to simply reduce Cubikon respawn times or furthermore to improve the LoW Gate to previous levels - as this was previously a viable way to farm uridium which was still even a struggle for UFE players. I just hope with the rising supply of merchandise released on the game, that Bigpoint realises it is time to meet those costs by making it fairer to gain access to uridium, so players are ultimately able to gain the rewards they so rightfully have earned.

P.S There is no reason HelpMeHelpYou for you to respond to this post by agreeing with the fact that there is no issue and that everything is fine, which it clearly isnt, as there clearly does remain an imbalance in the time spent farming - and the uridium earned. Thanks.

  2. Me too, even I have achieved MAX UFE status and I found myself struggling to barely farm enough uridium to do ANYTHING! I attempt to solo cubes and just get shot off every minute, if i attempt group cubes I simply make a hundred or so uridium. Considering you need over 6mil uri to even complete the basic upgrades it is a hopeless reality. The game is broken... and don't you dare comment saying.. "You just need to find the hours on your server where the cube maps are free" No. Just no. GA1 appears to be packed at almost every hour... There really is no hope, unless i want to spend oh thats right, real money on this pointless game, literally no chance for anyone unless you got spare cash to spend. Yeah, 128 uri from a BK was amazing 5 years ago, jesus that barely covers a 4th of an EMP. I'm over struggling for enough uridium to just SURVIVE, let alone THRIVE in this game ;(

  3. Glad you think I would be against you. I have actually found the game utterly unplayable as I keep freezing whether boxing or killing NPC's. The lag starts after about 30 minutes of playing and becomes page freeze shortly afterwards. Chat keeps breaking for no reason. And the information of what you received seems to roll on continuously even when sitting at the Portal.

So I DO see issues with the game and wish they were taken care of, but this is a pipe dream.

agreed it's time they upped the uridium reward for npc's and in the boxs. With all the stuff they add you need more and more with no new ways to find it.

  5. I agree with everyone here. Uridium rewards need to be raised. When inflation rises so do wages, simple economics.

  6. The lag believe it or not is coming from game chat and if you disable it by unchecking show chat and relog you will notice a huge improvement in game play.

  7. When does Bigpoint sees the cry of his people loving this game...

  8. That's true mate, I literally said the same thing to my mate about there having to be an increase in the 'real' rewards of uridium :) glad i'm not the only one that realizes there must be change

  9. All this talk about increased uri and nothing about credits I need for my goals. I feel so left out.

Ok, but on the OP's subject, the constant rollout of designs, ships, assembly items, etc does leave one to wonder how players are supposed to be able to upgrade and get the latest in DO tech in time to keep up. You end up having to make a choice. Most players are upgrading and buying uri ammo. Something has to give. I know a good number of players has millions of ammo from boxing but that's not everyone, certainly not me. Of course I, on both accounts and across all my servers don't use uri ammo unless attacked so what I do use is pretty much available for use forever, but there are things that players have to buy in order to keep up. Going back to the rollout of the latest tech, it just makes players salavate and unless you have your card ready or keep a healthy supply of uri on hand, your in the wind.

if you want it buy it seem to be the mantra now, but judging by server population nobody wants it

just boxed for over a hour full bio and doubler pet protocols in 3.2 map made just over 3k of uri wot is going on this game going to drive people away only the wallets will win

  12. It's clear the game population is dwindling away. Everyone has made excellent points about this on the thread.

Pay to play is losing ground, the new player sees how expensive it is and equate this to "TIME". Majority of the players only play a few hours a day. Yes of course we have the dye hard players who come around and tell us how great it is and how much Uri they make in a day, but it is not reality.

Increasing the Uri rewards for NPC kills and missions will show a good decrease in "TIME" to become at least FE. This will of course be more appealing to a new comer or even those who use to play, left and returned to see the games progression in economics.

New missions are coming out, cross server action is about to come to fruition FINALLY.

Increasing the rewards "Uri" will help ALL players see the light at the end of the tunnel.
They will know the light at the end of that tunnel is not a train

I've always said "this game is a marathon, not a sprint".
But common at least make the marathon fare!

  13. Very well bro..

Very well said and I agree. Hope that cross server will come too soon this December 2016.

In the last twitch stream (or the one before last) they talked about that topic. They said that based on their statistics they dont need to increase the uri rewards. The argument was that back in the day you were doing 3-4k with x1 and now that you improve your ship you can hit up to 10k x1 so overall you are making more uri because your DPS is higher and as long as you are improving you are actually making more uri.

I disagree with what they say ofc, but I am pretty sure their mind is set and they are not going to look into it at all.

Few weeks back there was a conversation going on global chat in my server. I don't remember who said it, but he said nowadays a fight costs you 5 bucks. And he is right with that. Back in the day we used to farm prom so we can go PVP. Now they made seprom and it is really accessible for everyone, but put a price on the ammo we fight with. So now as long as you have the money for uri you are all set, but if you don't spend you are stuck.

I don't think that darkorbit will make uridium more accessible for the players. I hope however that at least they can make the ammo more accesible. #SABFORCREDITS

  15. Inch by inch...foot by foot....yard by yard o_O uri

  16. Honestly, it's not that hard...
If you get to FE, you'll be fine. Just pally, build gates, gain Uridium. It's a slow, but onward march approach.

Compared to what I went through to first reach FE, it was incredibly hard. Uridium was a pain in the ass to get. Now a days, progression is much faster.

The main issue are the UFEs, or other players that aggressively hunt and halt gameplay for a lot of new and weak players. Trust me, getting Uridium is easy. But when you're constantly getting chased, hunted, or the mere threat of a hunter close by, it can slow down your gameplay and feel like everything is slow.

  17. I agree on slow down because of enemies.

i wish there is an hour called "ceasefire hour" where you cant be attack by someone.

  18. Careful when replying in staggered posts; mods don't like that, and it can get annoying xD

Keep all your information in one Reply :>

As for your Ceasefire idea, I'd love that. Good window to allow us weaklings to go and thrive xD

  19. I'm sorry i thought the reply does not posted it appears non..said error..So i resend again thats why it appears double posting..Pardon for the inconvenience.

The "cease fire hour" where you can't be attack by enemies... Or just a ceasefire cpu...i order us weak players to be safe while growing.

  20. The ceasefire idea i don't think would work as you would have 50 players log on and you'll only be getting 50 uridium per cube. Cubing is the only way to get uridium on this game and it does not matter if you are a player with 2 flaxes or 10 drones leveled 16 and 10 havocs since an enemy in the map will prevent you from cubing altogether. Therefore, my argument is that there is no 'Plan B' essentially to fall back upon when the x-6 map is swatted by enemies, cutting the uridium supply to the game. It was not like this when the previous design of the 'LoW gate' was in place, as players could kill the Century Falcon if Cubikons were taken.

"The man who controls the British money supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British money supply." - Nathan Mayer Rothschild.

Right now UFE's especially on the populated servers, are in constant control of the x-6 maps which prevent any of the developing players from advancing in the game. THAT is the ultimate problem of this game.
