  1. Just wanting to start a discussion and get the communities opinion on the current Skylab, is the Seprom build rate too slow? Should it produce faster? Or do you think its current 189 an hour is fine? Would love the opinion of some UFE players who perhaps have to balance ammo and Seprom when soloing cubes. Do you guys just sacrifice ammunition and go with Promerium? Or only do solo cubes with Seprom?

Just interested to see what you guys have to say.
    Thanks.

  2. I solo all NPC using Promi.

    I hunt ships using Sep.

I been on a pvp hunt for past 2 months seldom shoot NPC so for me, the Seprom could be a faster build rate.

Makes my play time limited because when i run out of Sep I don't play, so to save boosters I just do a login then gone.

Actually The build rate is ok, but the storage space in the refinery I feel should be doubled to 18,158

  3. I've been collecting up seprom just fine. I have 2.2 million on lasers right now, and like, 500k on rockets. Then there's the 250k mins of shields xD

  4. I can understand you can save up large amounts of seprom, but that is only due to the fact you have been inactive or not shot anything for a while. I feel bad using up good ammo without a seprom boost and therefore as Full Throttle said, if I'm not sepped I can find myself logging out unwillingly. The lab makes about 4500 seprom a day, which equates to 45,000 laser shots. Not even taking into account the rockets or shield upgrades you need. An UFE player with about 45,000 laser shots can probably solo 20 cubes (20k uri) in one day!!! That is without any interruptions. I just think perhaps the seprom production is too low, or maybe i need to get used to having only promerium on my lasers?! :O

  5. I know several players that only use Seprom when Hunting (PvP) and use Promerium for killing NPC's. They will also Pally or Box if they run out of Seprom on their weapons but always keep the shields boosted with Seprom no matter what they are doing.

  6. Pretty much me, except I have Seprom loaded 24/7.
I've been pallying forever for Kappas, and I'm not really running into pirates a lot, and not too many players who wanna fight, so the Sep adds up pretty easily. And shields are indeed always boosted :D

  7. I don't understand why the lab runs so slow either. It seems a player should be able to have full Seprom available for transfer daily. That said, devs probably think that unless you are transfering to a citadel, and/or premium lol, 4500 a day is enough.

box and palli a few days get ahead of the skylab it's so easy. haven't ran out of sep on lasers/ rocket in years.

  9. Boxing and pally seems to me to be a waste of boosters, I completely understand your arguments but as a player I believe making efficient use of boosters is essential in saving uri/credits.

  10. I box a lot as it covers me for all the things that I need i.e. Gate spins, Uri, ammo and I also get some PvP and PvE in at the same time... as a byproduct of this, like KilerStreak, I have 1 million on laser and a continuous supply for rockets and shields... I also manage to transfer enough Prom to keep my cred balance high enough to bid on boosters or any other thing I might want...
I dont cube, or pally, as I personally find cubing boring and from my point it also seems, with regard to this thread, an excessive use of Seprom (there are other reasons too)... Pally is similar to boxing in some ways but doesnt result in such a variety of product... I play all the hours I want to so I am happy as things are...

As with most things this game requires balance in how you play... excessive cubing for instance will mean you dont have seprom ... Variety is good...

I notice there is a similar Thread >STRUGGLE FOR URIDIUM< right next door in this General Issues.. Do you guys know each other by chance?

  11. I would like to see a faster seprom reproduction rate because i dont have the luxury of unlimited x3 or x4 or JOB or rb, so i need more shots to kill cubes and bks etc. therfore my sep runs out almost as fast as i can put it on( on a good day)

  12. It's also a psychological way the game works to keep you into it. It's a small part, but still involved. When players play a game constantly, and not run out of resources or items (say Seprom in this case), the player can get quickly bored, and slow down activity. To counter, the slower production of Seprom allows the player to be forced (most cases) to stop playing until they are able to get the Seprom back and loaded up onto their ships. This keeps re-igniting their want to play the game. It's a process used in a lot of games, like the life system in Candy Crush Saga, or "Stamina" or "Energy" in other games.

The better idea will be if there are two separete vault sections to update the lasers with chek box ot top of them.
You transfer and use Promerium or Seprom to update them and then when you activete the chek box on top of Seprom vault your lasers use seprom and you play PVP or alternatively you activete the chek box on top of Promerium vault and your lasers use the Promerium and you play PVE.

In configuration like above the players have a flexible choise and at the same time they utilize efficiency usage of the resorses they have.

I think Sergei from Darkorbit team mention at one of the twitch Session that hi has something in his mind regarding the seprom production and usage, so I think the DO team can be more prone to above proposed idea insted of simple rising the rate of seprom production.

Regarding the booster usage the above idea of simple chek box can apply to boosters, also.
When the chek box is active your ship use that particular booster, when the chek box is inactive the ship don't use that particular booster.

    P.S
Corected the tipo as PSK~SUNDANCE pointed.Sorry for it.

  14. Instead of Premium, I think you mean Prom...

Was Sergei smiling and rolling his eyes while talking on Twitch? I take anything he says with a grain of salt. They could give more information than they do. I understand them not wanting to make promises with timelines but they could give more direct answers to questions. If they are not really going to answer questions, they need to do one of two things:
    1. Come on and just announce what they are coming to announce
    2. Cancel Twitch altogether.
The selection idea is pretty good. It would allow more players to play more and have the power to do it. I think I would get bored after a while though. The only time I can really see playing all day is in pally or gates. Otherwise there are some shows I could catch up on.

I know, I only play 1 to 2 hours a day mostly in the morning. been doing gates more now too. Well the mission are pretty lame now never any new one that don't come with events. so doing gates with x1 and x2 ammo is becoming more and more fun. :)
