[UI] Two little ideas that would improve the whole game (Please read, OP32)

  1. Hello.

    I want to share with you 2 small ideas that can change the whole game for good, and which benefits both BigPoint and us developers.

    During the presentation of the ideas the following questions will be answered:
    • Why does this idea improve the overall look of the game?
    • How does this idea make BigPoint benefit?
    • How does this idea benefit Premium users?
    • How does this idea benefit non-Premium users?
    • How does PvP help this idea?
    • How does PvE help this idea?

    Having said that, let's start:

    Idea 1:
    Idea 1: The skills tree can be rebooted for free. (Pilot profile, research points)

    Approach of the idea:
    • A) For Premium users: The skill tree can be completely free of charge, and at the moment of reassignment of the research points, no seprom, no credits, no uridium are charged.
    • B) For NO Premium users: The skill tree is restarted for free, but if credits are charged for reassigning the research points, but instead of seprom, promerium.
    Why does this idea improve the overall look of the game?
    Currently the game is based more on the equipment of the player, than on the skill of the same. With this change, it allows the player to quickly assign the Investigation Points for each situation of his game session.

    Which means that each user has to think more about how to use their research points, not "forever", in a standardized way, and never touch the Research Points again once you assign them, otherwise it will be an aspect Of the game with which you have to think and reason to get the most out of each game session.

    How does this idea make BigPoint benefit?

    Many people would buy Premium, this to be able to reallocate the Points of investigation without any cost, this results in monetary gains for the company.

    How does this idea benefit Premium users?
    Apart from being able to restart your skills tree at no cost, they can reassign all their research points instantly, add excitement to the game, reason the player, and add a lot of usefulness to them.

    How does this idea benefit non-Premium users?
    Restarting the skill tree will be free, and cheaper reassignment, non-Premium users alike will benefit, just like Premiums, but in a smaller way.

    How does PvP help this idea?
    You can configure yourself for Fighting / Tank quickly, according to the needs you have at that precise moment. This will make the player require more skill, without leaving the equipment aside, but making him think more.

    How does PvE help this idea?
    Many times destroying aliens becomes boring and repetitive, can quickly set up the skills tree, can do the task of destroying 300 aliens for a mission, or a door, less heavy, and more fun.

    Idea 2:
    Idea 2: (Do not panic and keep reading) Infinite ammunition for Premium users.

    Approach of the idea:
    • A) For Premium users: The ammunition will be totally infinite, from PEM's, instant bombs and shields, all kinds of missiles, mines, SAB, Rafaga, everything.
    Why does this idea improve the overall look of the game?
    Ammunition is one of the most important aspects of the game at the time of making it matter more skill, than equipment, even more than the tree of skills. A user with 8 iris, 15 lf4, without havock, can win a full havock user, with Apis, Zeus, and 30 lf4 if he knows how to use ammunition and formations.

    However, getting the ammunition today is a heavy task, albeit very easy. You must spend hours and hours in palladium to barely get ammo that will last you a couple of hours in battle. Maybe this for users who do not pay this to a certain degree well, but a Premium user should be able to enjoy the fights without after each battle think "I spent 30 thousand x4 to destroy those 3 invaders, or in this spaceball , In 5 minutes I left 10 hours of taste and 1 hour playing the GG alpha.     How does this idea benefit Premium users?
    They would forget one of the most boring tasks: spending hours and hours in palladium, and the saddest thing, that the little ammunition they get (plus the x4) quickly vanishes. It will make the game more dynamic and fun.

    How does this idea benefit non-Premium users?
    By having Premium friends, or grouping with a Premium, they can receive help when destroying aliens, or fighting, a user who has all kinds of ammunition infinitely.

    How does PvP help this idea?
    We all know that today equipment matters more than skill. This idea would largely leave that way of thinking aside. It will be the equipment, and the brain of each player, and no longer as it is currently that is the ammunition, the equipment of the player, and very little the brain of the player.

    How does PvE help this idea?
    You can destroy aliens faster, and is that actually destroying aliens is already boring, the mere fact of having x4 and x6 infinity, and taking the time to cool the x6 will make your brain more active at the time of destroying aliens. In short, it keeps the person active and focused on the game.

    On the other hand, when an administrator, or community manager read it, I would like to know your opinion after raising the ideas with the team of developers. I am very excited that my ideas are mixed, because, apart from improving the game, it would have been worth the night that I could not sleep for thinking about these ideas, and how to expose them in the best way.

    I want to add that if they think that the infinite ammunition would break the game in the sense that everything would be super easy to get, I want to say that they are wrong, that instead of breaking the game, it would really help a lot, Of destroying aliens, which as I already mention, is too heavy.

    I want to share a video of a user that is practically UFE (I know because I've seen photos of his equipment) using pure ammunition x3, x4, and SAB, only made 21650 uridium in an hour of farmeo. If everyone had access to all the ammunition, making about 25 to 30 thousand uridium in an hour being users less strong than the video, would really be a very good help, and would make the job of collecting uridium with aliens much more fun.



    To top a video of a user doing the daily mission to improve the new LF4, spends pure ammunition x4, and blast, apart from elite missiles. Many would like to do streams like, or videos, either fighting in pvp, or destroying aliens, but we do not (or I personally do not) because I do not have the ammunition to do a 1 hour stream fighting , Or upload a daily video fighting, or doing the daily missions, because I do not have access to the ammunition.

    Imagine, I had a channel with 800 subscribers, and to streams that came up to 70 views, and if I said "jump", 80% jumped. If I say "play darkorbit with me", they will play with me, but I do not have the ammunition to make entertaining videos of fights, or to farm in a more decent time. Now imagine the youtubers or streamers much bigger than me if they could upload a daily video, or make a daily stream of the fighting with pure ammunition elite, or farmeando with pure ammunition elite. (Of course, this user being premium)

    Generaria 2 things:
    Infinite ammunition = more videos and streamings of darkorbit
    More videos and streamings = New users in the game.

  3. You can have almost every pilot point you need with 50, so that idea isn't really useful as much as it seems like it is on paper. For example, I have all of the blue and red sections of pilot points filled out, I have all of the damage and "tank" pilot points already, the only thing I'm missing out on is boxing stuff, extra credits and honor, etc, which doesn't effect me because I'm a PVPer.

    And the ammunition idea wouldn't do much, I've seen so many free users who never bought -and will never buy- premium just because they are so devout to being a free player(or because they they just don't want to spend money for whatever reason). And if you add infinite ammunition, there's no reason for you to do gates at all, making them only for rank which is pretty useless because gates is the main source of income in DO. Besides, nobody goes to the palladium field anymore, they'd rather shoot cubes and use that uridium to get ammo, do gates, and repeat all over again, there's just simply too many other opportunities and events to advance your ship to worry about palladium fields.

    I want to also address where you said "new users into the game," my question is how can we keep these new users if everything is so expensive? Sure, you have infinite ammo, but you still need the equipment necessary to fight, which costs 20M+ uri to obtain. As long as this game is obscenely expensive, nothing will get done no matter how much you update and add into the game.

    By the way, premium and rebate is essential to success and building your ship in this game. Many of the people who spend money on this game already have a year+ subscription on rebate and premium, so upping the prices on premium will do nothing but deter anyone from buying it again.

    I'm sorry to put your idea down like such, but darkorbit just simply isn't that type of game for these ideas.

  4. I never really consider that. When you put it like that there would be no use for this idea. But although you lose out on money from gates they still will make money from the premium etc.
     
  5. This would help a noob ufe like me xD love both excessively.Reset bio for the last time,affordably, inf ammo would be cool mostly so i can gate faster im not one who farms x4 ,too expensive, esp if you're hitting on the low side. Being fe, just FE no boosts or nothing is slow IMO.
    the best thing about being ufe is you have the dmg to deal with all the monotony of the grinding in DO i love hitting 60-75k dmg with x3 it makes everything faster , not easier, just less time getting hit makes you last longer.

    I like idea 1, but I do think we have to limit it. You should only be able to change the layout of skill tree when on your home map at base (like x-8 or x-1).

    Personally, I would love the idea of being able to change damage, for example, more NPC damage for gates, and then during CBS more pvp damage or something like that.

    I feel like it should be like a drone formation, but then with less switches, It may even add to the skill level of the game ;)


    IDEA 2

    This is a risky one for several reasons;

    • The difference between the 2 might become to big, players might feel forced to buy premium

    • The gate reward might become insufficient, or to sufficient; if people are premium for a while, they can store a lot of ammo, when ther're not premium they can then use this ammo. If you remove the ammo while people are premium, they will most likely want something else in return.

    • Sure it might be the case that people can help each other, but at the same time, do we really think that is going to happen. If you have an unlimited amount of x4 and x6 chances are you're never going to NPC again xD.

    • NPC's (mainly cubicons) are not ment to be constantly shot at with x6 and x4, rewards will not be balanced for people who have to shoot it with x2 or even x1, compared with people who will always be able to use x6 and x4.


    I'd recommend to limit the free ammo to x2 and maybey x3, if not remove it
     
  7. The money they make from people buying uridium from gates is obscenely high compared to premium and rebate profits.
