Why am I being forced to watch a commercial before I can log in to this free to play game?

most of the ads have a 'SKIP this ad' option lower right, they mostly only last less than 1 minute and you get paid 100 uri for the terrible task as well which helps the free to play ppl... If there was a way to please all the people all the time Im sure DO would do it but....

 

Business.Putting ads is profitable for BP.

 

DO is going to concentrate on fixing the "current glitches" with the game instead of bringing out "stuff" nobody cares about.
This is according to the post from Solid_Eye( I think) earlier in week.
The "log in ads" have been "broken" for months = loss of marketing revenues.
It is in their best interest to first fix what brings in a revenue stream, so naturally they fix the log in "commercials".
I just click on SKIP if the ad is more than 30 seconds. Have seen them more than 60 minutes!
Hopefully they fix the 10 trip discounts and/or the 10 free gg spins with this same "revenue saving strategy".
These have not worked for months either.
It would be nice to see the list that is being worked on so we the players could address " anything that is missing".

That is strange. Use maxthon and problem solved. (I've never seen any commercial or ads in DarkOrbit)

I think premium users generally may not see the login ad, and non premium accounts would generally be more likely (of late anyway).
Personally I hadn't noticed them in little while now until somewhat recently seeing it again on a noob account so it's possible they were off for a bit. Hard to say for certain though, we don't really have info on it in particular.

Good news is though, the login ad is once a day so any subsequent log ins that day shouldn't show a new ad again.

Maybe it can be related with the player's country. I've been playing like 5 years or more and I've never seen ads, just Skylab ads to increase the shipping time.
