[GI] Stealing Aurus?

Hello,

can anybody steal the Aurus from NPCs, which I killed solo? A not nice guy (same company) stalked me near the Battle Rays, setting mines, while I was low HP, and attack me with UCB. I went away, although I see the Aurus, he went immediately to the Aurus and collect it. I didn't see the Arus anymore. Is it a bug?

If it's not, it's a unfair game feature :/

Yes they can, specially if their PET is on Auto loot mode. Normally I would go far from them when killing pirates for aurus if I don't have PET to Auto-loot. Manual looting can be sometimes hard because Aurus can drop along with other resources/booty box which could slow you down on picking the Aurus and another player's PET might auto loot it first, thus stealing it. This is from my experience.

 

As •»Radiance«• already mentioned they can.If you want to grab it first either:
1)Let pet collect for as you fly a fast ship(so it can outrun the other pet(s))
2)Use 3d and zoom to the aurus to make it easier for you to grab it first.

Sorry Taurus but this is an additional tip to help on the subject of collecting resources...

I have found that if you want to select the Aurus, Bifedus but not the cargo, for whatever reason and if you have time, back away from the items and the cargo disappears and leaves the resource alone to be clicked upon for your ship to collect...

 

Yep ,like what @theOtherKey posted above, collective ores (scrap, aurus, etc) can be seen alone in a pile of cargo boxes (like after using kami in GGs and you like to collect ores only) by flying far away from from them until they're at the edge of your screen, and the cargo boxes will disappear on sight leaving the collective ores and they are now easy to be clicked by the mouse (or better un-check "show cargo") this method seems fine if you are dealing with a drop with multiple contents such as pirate drops at obsidian/apocalypse day wherein they could drop bifenon, cargo box, aurus, and booty box at a single pile.

 

you can disable show cargo boxes in settings
