[GI] Does Spartan increase you whole damage/shield?

Hello,

Does Spartan increase you whole damage/shield (all lasers and shield generators in the ship and in the drones) ? Or does it only increase the stats of the lasers and shields in the drones?

I believe it is just like the Havoc and Hercules designs where it is strictly the drones that get the assistance. The new designs just combine the 2 designs and add HP to the mix but reduce the amount of the other designs stats. The FAQ is pretty vague but going with the main Drone Design FAQ it does say they do only effect the drones and not the ship.

 

No. The spartan design increases the whole damage/shield from the ship/drones.

The next question here is if it is intended or a bug that the designs are working for the lasers/shields in the ship too.

Spartan seems pretty strong....

 

At the moment they are. But it has to be clarified if it is a bug or intended that the damage/shield bonus is increases for the lasers/shields in the ship too.

 

Currently the Spartans do effect all aspects of the users ship, acting like a regular damage or shield booster, this is not intended.

The error occurred due to the original Havoc and Hercules values being hardcoded booster, rather than part of the newer systems. So essentially the values for Havoc and Hercules were hidden away in a location, then when their values were copied over onto the new system for Spartans, this issue occurred.

It's a fair bit of work for our busy java team to change the behavior of the boosters on this specific drone design on the newer systems, so it's unlikely there will be a fix before the end of the week.

We'll keep you guys updated when the changes are made, until then the lucky ones who already have the drones, have fun being that little bit more powerful than you should be

 

Will you change the color from the shown letters? Actually they are orange and the demon drones are orange too.

FinnTest3, an german admin, said that the color will change today maybe into purple. It is true?

 

Makes sense.

Red (Havoc) + Blue (Hercules) = Purple

Stats drone designs should only effect equipment on the drones, unfortunately design bonus effect all equipment as OP32 mentioned. Do you have any more questions in this matter or shall we lock the thread?
