[SC] What do you think?

Hello everyone !

I recently came back to playing darkorbit (fresh account and everything). I played it in the past and i was pretty much a noob back then, and still am, but maybe a less one nowdays haha. Anyways, the reason why im openning this topic is to ask for your opinnion. Well, currently im playing on the int7 server, and my major problem is, that i can't find almost no1 to communicate. By that, i mean, i can't find almost no1 that speaks either english nor german nor my home countrys language. I'm thinking of maybe changing the server, to a more populated ( i hope you suggest one, that speaks those 2 languages atleast). So far, i've a goliath, with 2 flax drones, 5 iris drones. All have SL II lasers. I've config 1 and 2 ofc. I've only 2 lf3 and 2 BO2 Shields. When it comes to the extras, i've the cpu4, and most of the uri items that are good to get on auctions. I'm level 11, and i'm playing a 100% free account (no uridium buying). So, what do you think, should i leave this server and start on a new one, or try harder to find an english/german speaking clan?

Personally my opinion keep playing there cuz in populated servers you will quit faster than you started.Find a friend from town ask them to play with you.You will learn together and have fun in process.Altough becoming stronger in less populated servers easier.

 

Hold tight as they are talking about making server merges and if they do this then you might automatically be added to a server that will accommodate what you want.

 

lol just wait even though its unfair for more populated server players but BP will make server merge so weaker server will automatically be placed on crowded server

 

You can wait 6 month-1 year for the supossed merge, or you can start again on a more crowded server(GE1 or GA1 i suggest) but you have to know that growing a new acc without buying any uridium is going to be harder in these servers, since there is way more people playing.

There are prons and cons for both options:

-If you keep playing on the less populated server, u will get ur ship ufe pretty fast, but u will be playing pretty much alone until they implement the merges.

-If you start on a more crowded server, u will find it much harder to grow, but u can find other people to talk/play with, and maybe they are willing to help yoo

 

Well, thank you everyone for your comments. As i see it, i will probably stay on the server for now, enjoy the game, and maybe wait for the merge later on. Right now im strugeling to get any Plasmide drops ( from over 100 Devolarium killed 0 drops.. )

 

Don't bother with plasmide,you can get all of that assembly useless crap from booty boxes.

 

Well oke, but how do i farm those keys? I mean, if i can only get them via shop, then all of my uridium is gone in no time

 

just do zeta in double reward day, i think it was like 50 or 100 keys per gate

As you work your way to UFE status you will gain them by gates(zetas,kappas,hades),don't forget to look the "newbies" side-forum!

Further more, when i make to UFE, i'm going to spend my uridium on those spins right? It's like impossible only to rely on free spins from boxes?

 

Woa no buying? Well as a free player i can tell u, should u only have time to do 1 thing in this game, that thing is SPACEBALS. That event is the best source of income (and the only one btw) for free players in the game. The best part is u can participate as soon as u enter the game as it requires virtualy no gear:
full speed venge (venge is hard to click, even more if u are cloaked. If some noob ufe tryis to click u just drive your venge in an 8 chape)
cloak cpu (essential)
advanced jump cpu (optional)
pet with auto looter (optional) (note: dont bother leveling up your pet for this, level 1 gear works gr8 for this and pet level < 3 costs 0 to repair even for free players, moreover it eats far less fuel) (get pet from assembly)
I sujest u activate 2d and expand your view (by decreasing the zoom of your browser to say 60%) bc boxes apear faster in 2d for some reason.
Dont care if u are destroyed (spacebals day as no dmg to drones), just repair and use jump cpu to get back to 4-4. Also dont bother shoting at all u will just wast cloks to probably died in 8 * 10^-6 seconds for some ufe the word of order is "like a ninja".
After that spend the spins in zeta and do it on 2x gg day.
Spacebals will also give u considerable uridium.

 

Well, ty for commenting on the post. I wish i knew that spacebal was that good, bcs i've already missed one, bcs i had no idea where it was nor what was it about. Anyways, i will keep an eye on it. About pet, i will make 2 parts in assembly and buy the other 3 (i've gathered 50k uridium so far, so it shouldn't hit me hard). When it comes to the PET, i have only 1 litle question. I've checked the whole shop, but couldn't find anywhere the fuel needed for pet (i wanted to see, how much it costs). So, do you mind telling me where to find it?

 

In the shop u can find the fuel under the PET/GEAR tab it is caled fuel-100 and cost 0.25 uridium per unit, maybe it doesnt apear if u havent pet itk. U also can buy it directly in the pet tab itself.

Here is the pet faq , i dont recomend u buy alot of fuel, maybe 200 reason being they give (at least they gave) alot of it in event boxes.

1)What exactly do you consider UFE?It's a general rule of the thumb to have all the best equipment though.
2)Yup,boxing in general isn't worth it unless you have PP set for boxing,12 salvage protocols lvl 3 each,boxing doubler [removed]

If you want to get energy spins in a non-stressful way+ the best would be to farm bks and sks at an enemy+ x-7 map with premium(so you won't have to pay U to repair your pet).Use Sentinel preferably(if you don't have it a Bastion will do fine) because it's ability has a CD of only 20 secs so you can kami every 30-40 seconds(depending on how much shield you want to regenerate+)and kill those sks that run away at low health.You might think that Diminisher works better because of it's ability but it really doesn't since you can use it only every 90 secs and you lose 30% of your shield when the ability ends[and NO,5% extra dmg doesn't help at all(obviously lol)].I have tested it many times and Sentinel works better.Also,a Pusat doesn't work better,nope,forget it,it's a waste of uridium.
The following configs are the best for your sexy Sentinel:
1st)at ship:7 speed gens,8 shield gens
at drones:full lasers and full havoc(no hercules)
2st)suicide config which means:
at ship:full speed gens
at drones:full lasers and full havoc(no hercules)
------>[If you are unwilling to buy premium then don't bother reading the next paragraph]+.
With these configs you do the following:circle the bk on your 1st config then stay to one spot,activate ability and kami(first activate ability in order for the cooldown to end a little bit before kami's cooldown ends).After that you quickly change to the 2nd config(suicide config) to chase after the sks.Once you are done with them go back to finish off the bk+.

+:Collecting palladium is a pretty stressful and unrewarding way to earn energy spins since you have to avoid bullies and pirates,especially Saboteur,so don't bother with it(don't worry about sepped ammo,you will only need it during Kronos or 2x GG rewards days).
+:Ever since the permanent QZ addition your company's x-7 map is a huge bully magnet.
+:If you can circle bks without getting hit you can regenerate shield while hitting them so you can save a lot of time that way but i think you know that already.
+:Use the following configs instead:
1st)keep the 1st config as i originally suggested.
2nd)at ship:full speed gens
at drones:full shields and full hercules.This is pretty much your run-away-like-a-chicken-when-an-enemy-jumps-out-of-his-cloak config
+:If some sks ran away too far stop chasing after them and go back to the bk(you don't want to stop shooting the bk for too long because he is going to regenerate his shield) while you observe their position from the minimap.Since sks won't immediately lose their lock on you you will see red dots on your minimap running away,that way you can mark their position when they stop moving.Also,when you go back to finish them off change to wheel on your suicide config(obviously) and then to moth/drill(preferably moth) when you find them.

First of all, thank you for answering and giving me a lot of advices. Secondly, i'm pretty much far away from this part of the game, because right now, im still making my way to be FE (full LSF 3, B02 shields, speed gens etc.) [I've gathered 8 iris drones, so that part is done].

About my gameplan, I will be playing a full free to play acc (so nothing is going to be bought with real money). So, the major thing, that is going to hurt me (what i think), is the lack of premium. Currently, im trying to make my PET (as i stated earlier, i will make 2 parts at the assembly and the rest i'm gonna buy with the URI that i gathered). I've got a commend, that said that x-7 is the best map to farm myself coins and uri. If you could and have the time and patient, to give me an idea on how and what to do there, i would really appreaciate it. (I'm flying a bastion, with almost full SL II [only 4 LF3 on my drones]. 1st config. is full shields on ship and full lassers on drones. 2st config. is full speed on ship and full shield on drones). I hope this is the infos you need. If you want to know something else, feel free to ask, and once again, ty for the help.

for a free player is far more efective to farm aliens in lowers, not only they give more uri per hp but also u can use leonov wich dramaticly increases the money u do for the ammo u spend.
About boxing being useless, i box myself and i can tell u that is far better to box than kill things on x6/7. I dont use pet for boxing nor doubler nor bio and i can make in the worst case 5k/hour. It may be less uri than farm the lowers but is far more relaxing and not so much worst than pve.
U may talk about cubikon but it requires either a group of 3 FE to be efective or a verry good ship (wich u are trying to get in the first place).

My best advice to u besides spacebals is this:
Build your skylab, dont wast your credits in lf3/bo2 u will get a ton-load of them from helix lf3-day, use your credits to buy a citadel (put a cargo expanssor in it) park it in 5-2 and start sending promerium to it and sell it on 5-2 were they give 5% more credits.
When spacebals is not hapening bash the lowers with the leo9 and colect boxes while u do so, or just colect boxes. DO NOT spend uri on bio that was the worst mistake i ever did just use the zeta on 2x day to get keys and logdiscs, about uri drone formations i would sujest u dont bother with it right now althouth moth can help u do zeta alot faster and is usefull in pvp to. Try not to use uri to build gates. I sujest u start producing precision targeting wich is in the tech factory and costs 20k credits use it to do zeta or pvp. Dont forguet to do the daily missions! But not all they have recently intruduced some to ufes farm some new laser wich give next to nothing, make those that reward 200 uri or a booty key or log discs. I think thats all.
