ok well its kind of stealing an idea but its a great one so im still saying you should do it, ASAP, it'll help everyone. yes even bigpoint

theres this mobile game i play, its free to play, but does it in the best way ive ever seen.

what they do is there are ads, but you never have to watch them, you voluntarily hit a button to watch an ad (30 seconds every time, no 3 minute or yes ive even seen a full 3 hour infomercial from bigpoints system) and in return get a chest.

side note- this has its own page like where the upgrades are on backpage, it has the big watch ad button in the middle, plays ad in that window then box pops in at the end with a timer til next video was available

now this game has 2 currencies and many various items, just like darkorbit. each chest had a various range of each currency and item, with varying levels of rarity.

now what they did, which is genius, is have different level of chests that you could get at different intervals. common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and even an uber chest.

common chest every 3 hours, uncommon every 8, rare every 12 hours, epic every 24, legendary every 3 days, uber once a month (its the equivalent of like 4 lf4s 100% chance im not exaggerating).

my suggestion is you do like they did, make those chests, and allow players to get them for a 30 second ad for each box.

as for what was in each box:
common- 3 things, usually the equivalent of 500k credits or so, and 3rd being something like decent ammo (x2,x3, or sab kind of rarity) or a little special currency like a few hundred uri

uncommon- 4 or 5 items, 3 would be easy money like credits, but a bit more. 2 would be items or special currency, again a small amount but a little more of it than a common box

rare- 5-7 things, 3 rare items or currency 4 common currency or crap items

epic- 5-7 things, but more rare than common, and much larger amounts. like 30-50k uri equivalent easily for each item with a small chance of a legendary item in dark orbit terms a ship/drone design or gate basically

legendary- 7-8 things with 100% chance of a special item like 100k uri or ship design on 1 of them (not always first or last but it was always there) and another would probly but not definitely have a special item, thered also be 2-3 other things being rare like 20-30k uri or few million credits and a couple items like lf3/b02 (useful early but not a great item)

uber- 5-7 items, 3 amazing ones (like fully upgraded lf4s or drone design sets kind of amazing in 1, and something like a couple gates or ship designs in another 2) the others are at worst epic and usually very good.

the thing is, even though i watched a bunch of ads, i never spent a dime on the game and still got near maxed out in under a year without having to spend 12 hours a day to get it. actually dont think i ever went over 3 hours a day to be honest and all that i do play i enjoy severely because of all the great things i have.

so this is how bigpoint could give noobs a chance (good items free) get themselves money off people that dont have any without punishing anyone (the steady ad revenue) and still not ruin wallet warriors who dont have to wait on things. this is nothing but a WIN-WIN-WIN

  2. if you tune down the stuff you said, it would make a great suggestion, but 30-50k uri aday to ppl, just for a 30 sec vedio, it's a total overkill. would say something like 5-10k, this will help players without taking away the fun in building up a ship, yes i say fun, because it's accually a big part of a game like DO.
and if some1 plays for 12 hours a day in a year, you would be UFE even if you never spend a single $ on the game, if you do play right you can on 8 month get to be UFE or really close, just from buying premium and some event boosters.

but with some down scaling i really like this idea.

and if you have a job and a life like some people in the game you cant do 12 hours on a game like this.

  4. They have this feature already.

You can watch a 30 second ad and get one free gate spin(hooray!!!)

Or you can watch a one minute ad for 3 hours off of your skylab send.

    Yeah....

  5. I don't know how much money the advertising companies pay for an ad, so we are not able to say, whether it's worth or not for DarkOrbit. But one EE spin is ridiculous low (exploitation?). Therefore the idea sounds pretty fair, free players could support DO too without banking.
