[SC] RSB-75

I find RSB-75 ammo very over rated, yes it gives high dmg, by the time ur second salvo
starts they done hit u with X4 ammo three times, and damage anywere from 50-60k on X4
per salvo it perty well nix's any advantage u have with RSB-75. I've lost many a fight using
RSB-75 ammo only against someone using X4 ammo. So u guys who like to brag about hitting
80-115k with RSB-75, just think about how much more dmg ur opponent does to u Before
u hit him with ur second salvo and he's hit u with 50-60k with X4 ammo three times. That
3 to 4 second delay bwtn salvos of RSB-75 can make all the difference in a fight against some-
one using X4.

 

RSB isn't meant to be used as a constant source of damage - it serves as a high damage, rapid shot that you use in conjunction with other regular ammo types (preferably x4 obviously); Overall you'll hit the most if you fire RSB every 3 seconds and switch back to x4 as fast as possible (in fact many JPA winners have even trained doing precisely that as quickly as they can)

 

Most people use the "HotKeys" and toggle between the x4 and RSB so they are constantly firing one or the other. IF you are multi tasking you can get used to using 2 fingers on your computer and the mouse to keep moving and gaining the benefit of both the x4 and RSB ammo.

Try practiseing on lower maps with 1 gun on the ship

 

Set your hotkeys so you can comfortably sit with 2 fingers on top of the keys. Start a battle click the RSB, then immediately hit the x4 until the RSB has completed its cooldown and then hit the RSB again, and repeat until the battle ends. If you Cube or BK you could even practice a RSB/x? switch just put the x? where you would have the x4 during a normal battle plan.

 

Yes it work like that if you asume game work perfect, many many times if right after rsb switch back to x4 game will not register that you used rsb and will not shoot it, however x4 laser can be shoot once every 1000ms, rsb every 3000ms. So put quick slot bar somewhere close to eye and where will not be on way of fight window (dont put i on middle of screen) I personally hold it on top of screen because not much ppl run that direction, usually they go down or on side, also close to it have ship window so you can watch your shield and hp in combat, its sometimes hard to follow couse specially if you play with backgroud and color is similar to hp and shield color. After you shoot x4 u got 1000ms window to click rsb and put back on x4, 1 sec sound short but in game it take forever, after enemy use ish and emp you click him again and than focus on your rsb in slot bar, one eye follow enemy ship and your hand moving to him, other eye watching rsb when will come back from cooldown once its ready use it and switch back when you see it start to spin, don't switch bad to fast on x4 because sometimes it will not shoot, rsb will have gold border like its selected but will not be used, kind a same if you try to mix x4 and x3 for example, you can use x1 x2 x3 x4 sab cbo only once in 1000ms if you use any type of this ammo you can't use another in same secound you can see that if you use x4+rsb and sab+rsb in battle, once you use x4 you can switch to sab but it will not shoot instant it will wait 1000ms.

There is no need for really fast mix, also some players use ctrl as attack button and turn off attack by quick slot bar, than you can attack with ctrl and mix x4 rsb all time and it will not stop to shoot, tricky part is that after enemy use emp you must first click him again use ctrl and than you can start to mix, there is a chanse to lose few sec there.

Stay calm and watch bar to see that you use rsb than switch back to x4 you have time, don't switch to fast and don't use rsb.

Sab+rsb is good option if enemy don't use pet and you got more laser in ship than he does, its really good in fight with seprom vs promerium or when you fight few weak players at same time you will keep your configuration healthy and kill him at same time. Right now sab isn't popular because of ring formation that give tons of shield and in if you also use pet which dmg stay the same isn't lower x4 from pet will do more dmg overall because pet sab is actually x2 ammo because it will not give shield to your ship.
