G-Vanquisher <--red one for mmo (since am vru will this work for me), or do i need G-peacemaker?

 

You will need the appropriate ship for your company. You can use any of them for just NPC stuff but to get the 7% damage boost and Influence points in PVP you need the proper ship for the company your in.

Because of wars, I am wondering if the OP would get the bonus using Vanquisher against VRU. Wondering if anyone has tested that.

It's only 7% more damage against the other company.
As VRU you'll need the Peacemaker and it won't make more damage to wars ( VRU )

Just get your company / VRU Peacemaker . these ships are good for server events such as "Battle for Influence" , "Domination" , "Clan/Company TDM" events of this nature , but these ships are basically eye candy in your hanger.

These ships are company influence reward ships for events . As for company clan wars if there is an event for that I haven't seen 1 yet only the TDM as far as I can understand .

 

Ok, I ran a test VRU, me of course , against a mmo buddy. 15 lasers LF4, mixed levels, and LF3 maxed out (not here to talk about upgrades ). All three test using x1 laser only, Bounty Hunter maxed with seprom and ring. Peacemaker 4800, with the other two about 4200. I did not run a baseline test with a regular goli, afterthought. But point is using your company influence design gives best damage against enemy companies. I wanted to test mmo and eic ships against vru, but nobody volunteers and I don't have wars.

 

There are several posts in the GI Archives about these. What I am seeing is it does not matter which design you wear you get the 7% against the enemies of your company. The original release of these were for the Battle For Influence Event and you were only able to buy the design for your company. They later changed them to Espionage Set allowing you to own all 3 but the damage was still assigned according to the company you are in. They allowed you to fly in the enemy territories and be harder to pick out because you were showing their color instead of your enemy company color.\

I do not PvP much so I can not prove anything one way or another but as I say it is posted in several threads, this is what they are getting.

 

I already debunked the does not matter portion earlier with my test against an enemy player. I own all three and got the bonus with the one for my company only. At this time, I still have not tested against a company player. I guess I will have to go track down some player from the clan that sent me war. I just won't deal with a possible negative.

 

The test is to use another company skin and attack the same company it represents and see if you get the bonus. We already know it is not supposed to give you bonus against own company (warred unknown). All of the information posted by D O says it is supposed to work on enemy ships of the Ship used and was only available to people of company assigned, which we know changed when they made them ESPIONAGE instead of Influence ships.

 

What gets me about playing all 3 of them is here I am sitting in the VRU Peacemaker on a MMO map which I am MMO and getting popped. Everyone becomes confused as to your true identity. I've gotten into Wars that way, but on the other hand it is a good trick to fly around unnoticed in the VRU maps and go 'Hunting' . As for a possible negative and you are at war there is no neg. honor as for the collecting company/personal influence for a War Kill. I'm not sure of that. I don't play company wars with the time limit set at 100 days now. It generally takes a seasoned player to actually notice the red tag that the OP has on. I have all 3 designs through the 'Assembly'. I got bored and had nothing better to do but fill up my hangers as my 'collection of ships' . IMHO all the ships fly the same with the only differences being is a persons configuration and upgrades. I'm tired of trying to keep up with the Jones.

Tested the three on a clan member. My clan is all VRU. No added bonus from while attacking same company players. It would have been nice if you could but since I normally don't have issues inside my company, bots excluded , its not a big deal for me. For the OP, since you are vru, best to get the peacemaker for the bonus. Of course you can still run Vanquisher in mmo maps to cause confusion and delay.
