  1. Love those that are now ...wouldn't be bad if we had some more of those passive skills

  2. What?

  3. unless the passives you hope for are better than the ones everyone uses, I don't know how good this idea is

  4. There has been another thread about this subject, the issue is that we need to increase the number we can assign along with increasing things that are not already increased with existing SKILLS, FORMATIONS, SHIPS, or Boosters. We also have to remember to maintain some semblance of balance to the game.

i wish they would up the pilot points been on 50 pp for 2 years got over 10k of logs disks hundreds of tech items just wish they would up it

  6. Most people don't hit 50/50 unless they spend alot of money. I rather keep it the same and would rather not have future updates benefit paying players over free players.

And this is coming from a pay 2 play player as well.

Well I'd like to see the two hunter skills combined to free up 5 points.
I feel alien and bounty hunter are too similar to be separate skills or at the very least remove the pre requisite skills to keep from placing points on what ya don't want to get the skills that are wanted.

Doing both would be better yet.

  8. The similarities stop at the game play style choice, PvP or PvE. Everything in the skill tree was a play style choice, cargo vs rewards, offense or defense, NPC or Ship. This is also why so many people have to reset their trees after they get UFE since they no longer desire to grind NPC's (except Galaxy Gates) but want to HUNT Players instead.

There are many items that could be combined allowing people to not have to use so many choices but then that defeats the decision making process and force people to plan on how they want to benefit from the advantages awarded from the skill tree.

  9. I never met a player who went PVE route in the BIO tree because most who work on it go for PVP and don't usually have the ability to keep switching because it cost a good bit to reset everything.

  10. Hi, Mr PVE BIO here. While it is true most players either don't go the PVE route, or stay on it, there are some that run that route at least in combination to PVP. I can understand where the OP is going with this and just for my own style of play, I wish there were at least 10 more available. But at the same time with my style of play, by the time I get 50 PP, I should be more than fine.

  11. Don't take this the wrong way, but your current play style you will never get 50 PP LOL. Credit Ships, Credit Equipment, NO Pay, unless you are very lucky with the GGM and log disks you will have to BUY log disks if you ever plan to get 50 PP's.

  12. Some of the uri I have made has gone to that already. My play style does allow for me to do gates, which I have done alpha, beta, and gamma. I will get to Zeta and run it a lot. At the same time, I have accepted that 50 PP for me will be far in the future. I am testing against stronger npc and getting further but at 20 pp at the moment with only 1 on the top row. I need 5 more in the middle before moving up to work on hp/shields. This will require quite a bit of grinding on my part both in and out of gates, but that is what I stated I would be doing from the outset of this account. :D I have laid out a plan for the skill tree, for me, based on 50 pp, but 60 would be better. I will survive but if they up it, I have a plan for that too. :p Either way, 50 pp is a few years down the road for me. More pp is still a great idea. I shall be watching for if they revamp the skill tree.

  13. I think I would have gone for the shields first, but then that is just me. You must really be liking these Solar Calendars with the shield generators and scatter lasers being given away, or are you even using the uridium items that are given to you?

  14. I must admit, anyone not liking the Calendars needs help.

With the way I am playing, I am going for power, then credits, and then shield bio. This will allow me to get my credit upgrades taken care of, which still takes forever. The bio is still taking a long time, as I am at 20 PP after almost 2 years.

I'm certain game style for anyone having to fight pvp battles while farming npc's will not suffer a bit by combining those aforementioned bio abilities or the removal of prerequisite stuff.

Making a sacrifice of bio points for one or the other seems foolish to me.

  17. Agreed, Vespid. That middle section can be rough with the prerequisites. I realize honor plays a part with rank but why must they make you choke on the bio when you want to kill npc. Not everyone is going to play enough for honor bio to matter.

  18. I see no point in increasing the skill numbers anyhow. Just because the ships and the number of design increased it does not mean your not taking advantage of the because your skill numbers have not increased. As far as needing more passive skills. What type of passive skills would one want to run. More HP, or shield etc. Just saying they should add more passive without any regard to what might actually be a good idea to push them in is weird.

The current pilot point system seems like it needs to be changed or added onto but that is because it has been in the game for a awhile now and nothing really needs to be added onto it. Boosters already add enough passive differences to the game as it is, of course they are not permanent but that is what would make them preferable over the passive skills for the pilot bio.

The one thing I would agree with is needing prerequisite for other skills. To me this reduces what a player might actually want and might slightly give him less of an ability to tune his own pilot bio to what he would want rather then having to put a point here and there just to reach and end goal and a point being wasted because they are not gonna use that form of skill in the first place is annoying to me. It also is apart of what makes the pilot bio costly.
